Shrimp and krill are NOT the same. On the topic of krill, I found out is that krill have a longer lifespan than shrimp. Krill can live 8-10 years if they avoid being eaten while shrimp (depending on the exact kind) only live from 1-6 maybe 7 years which is kinda strange considering how many things absolutely MUNCH on krill + the sheer volume of them. Usually things that reproduce at the volume krill do so is because they have really short lifespans. For example: Some ants (one of the longer living ones I saw) live like 1-2 years, bees 30-60 days, fruit flies like 40-50 days, wild rabbits typically live less maybe 4 years (some get further up to 9 others are way shorter at like 2 years). Bonus facts: despite both being decapods prawn and shrimp are not the same, they’re two distinct species and have various physical differences (way their segments overlap/how many legs have claws/way they handle offspring) -Fun fact number 2 all krill are plankton but not all plankton are krill.
