I use Autosave Manager to supplement the Survival Mode autosaves. Basically, I configure it to trigger autosaves upon sleep, quest completion, location discovered, and location cleared. Finally, I have what I call my “mercy save”. If no other autosave triggers have occurred for 1 hour, then it will autosave at the next opportunity (e.g. end if combat). I find this to provide a good balance.
I like the smoking cigarette save mod. Makes roleplaying as a chain smoker fun. If I cant decide if im ready to deal with a quest, smoke break. If I wanna kill someone then save scum, smoke break. If I get tired of smoking Cigarettes, time to wipe out the San Fran Sunlights.
For who wants to know the armor on the thumbnail: It’s called BSAA and USS armor packs which are separate mods but they add in the armor from the resident evil series, it’s also on Xbox in the work in progress section, Also has an optional gunner armor replacer
My fallout 4 mod idea for today: Cryptids This adds creatures from Fallout 76 such as the wendigo the snallygaster the grafton monster the sheepsquatch and the flatwoods monster but also adds 3 new cryptids Devil monkey Radsquatch Dover Demon
Liz Lemon it's an idea When juicehead makes a video I tend to give out some Mod ideas In case if any mod authors are watching this and looking for ideas
Creature mods are ridiculously rare. I am guessing the technical skill to work with the game engine's skeleton is difficult. I do enjoy these mods when do they come out, It's gotten stale killing the same creatures over and over again.
I've been playing enhanced with 3x incoming damage and I used a program to disable my keyboard's console command button. It's like a whole new and amazing game.
I LOVED this video, thank you so much! I still play FO4 a ton and so I'm always looking for ways to spice things up, new mods, new playstyles etc. You are my favorite gaming channel for a reason, and this video just shows how much you care about putting great content out there. Thanks dude!
I actually was in a mood to reinstall Fallout 4 recently.... played through Bioshock Collection instead and gotten much higher nostalgia vibes. Seems like a better choice, fully recommend.
@@DrClownbaby Rdr 2 gets boring af. I love the witcher 3 and thought the story would thrill me like the witcher, but not even close. I guess a western just cant come close to settings like fantasy or gta.
Yup. Bowler hat, clean black suit and sunglasses with the deliverer pistol has been my go to play through. I call it “Couriers radiation induced dementia”
@@DirtyDev he wants the role-selection "roleplaying" that new vegas offered. you get to pick from one of 3 different playthroughs (wow! 3!) and can't avoid the main story conflict if you tried because the map is so small and almost every NPC exists soley for the main story conflict.
Me: Nah I won't spend 20 hours modding Fallout 4 again, I will just watch this for fun Me after watching the video: *Download Fallout 4* f@ck... here goes the 100th playthrough Seriously though, good video. Kudos to you for making me get back to FO4
I have been watching your Fallout 4 mod suggestions for some time now, always with pen and paper in hand. Your suggestions have made Fallout 4 into a dramaticly improved experience. I know there are a number of add on quests, and other companions modders have created. I would be interested in your top 5 picks. Thank you JuiceHead. Excellent channel.
I feel like playing fallout 4 again, I really wish the multiplayer mod was still being worked. I want to play fallout 4 with my wife and fallout 76 was not what I was hoping for.
I love that your zombie recommendation is what I have currently. I'm going to add darker nights now that you've mentioned it for obvious reasons. Thanks a bunch for the lists!
Journey, one of my favorites for survival, it allows you to fast travel between settlements that are connected by supply lines, but only if you are on the settlement and when you find your npc in the wild you can either send your loot trough him or travel to wherever it is going, super imersive and well made mod that remove a bit of walking and make settlements more important. Mods that inject both dlcs weapons and armor on base game are good too. Npc scaling are like necessary I think the more you level the stronger the enemies will be, no other mod make you fear vertibirds. The basic armor and weapons workshop/armorsmith the foundation for so many mods. My last time playing I had around 70 mods installed, most qol and mods to make the game harder and it is a so different experience, to anyone afraid to mod too much there is no such thing.
I just remembered that I had this video playing in the background. Juice your vids are basically always played in the background of whatever I'm doing. keep up the hard work and love the vids
To mod Fallout NV, you add new content using 12 mods plus 5 bugfix and new feature mods. To mod Fallout 4, you replace all terrible content using 300 mods.
I fantasize a mod that merges the fallout 3 map with fallout 4 in the cononical ending Minutemen vs. BoS the transition map of fallout 4 would be New Vegas no man's land. And the war goal is to liberate the DC area and revitalize the Minutemen origins.
Me: I'm going to replay some fallout 4 over the Christmas holidays then hit revision hard after Oh I can't find any good modlists so I'll make a small complication that turn out to not impact me too much *Christmas holidays end* Juicehead: Hey you know that video you were looking for a month ago?
I have been playing at least 5 hours a week since the GameStop midnight release. My main character is level 238, and I have beat the game at least 4 times with every faction. So if anything, I need to get it for the PC because I’m stuck in console territory. I have a dozen characters leveled between 50 and 150. There is ALWAYS something new that pops up for me. That’s what keeps me going.
Im still enjoying the vanilla version of this game but I will most definitely be checking out some of these mods on my next playthrough! Thanks for your time and energy!
Thanks to you, I'm having to re-evaluate some of my older mods for Fallout 4 to try these new ones. I just wish Fallout 4 was more PC friendly as far as modding and limitations go, so that it could handle more things. Keep up the great work.
The only way to play the game is on PC first person! The graphics are superior and nothing beats a mouse and keyboard shooter, for movement and agility.
@@freedomination2 fr atleast you dont have console you can only own 100 good mods before you run out of space as the capacity is 2gb on the xbox one model x not series
Yes I've needed the ability to tweak the damage system. I love the fallout story but I love realism fps shooters, so now I know how to make this story that much better. I'm the waste land there is little ammo so it makes sense to make it count more.
I'm very glad not only to see more content but also new types of content from you. I've been kind of obsessed with Fallout and the Elder Scrolls since I played FO3 and Oblivion so it's nice to have someone to watch that isn't just Oxhorn and someone who does modding videos on a regular basis. Hope this helps algorithmically to get your video out there, sadly I don't have anyone to share this to directly.
Here's my alternate list of mods to the kinds of mods he presented. I play this game on the console so all these mods can be find on the beth site. Sue me. One more thing, I only play survival mode so these mods may have a bias for that. 1. Personally I like how in survival you can't just save on the fly, but only being able to save with beds is a bit much. --Survival saving holotapes, this puts holotapes in the rng pool. Which will save once each. They're not super common, but you may get quite a collection if you're a snoopy player. --Survival quick save - sleep til bedtime, is great for when the bugs in the game are being an absolute misery. Just go to aids list and this will pop a save. 2. Personally don't like how spongy enemies are, but I also don't like how damage is handled in straight multipliers. I only have one mod for this, but I think it's something everyone should be aware of. --Tifa lite, a fantastic mod for survival mode. Be advised it does remove legendary NPCs. This is also (as the title suggests) the lite version of the mod. I don't use anything else so I can't tell you how they go. This mod will remove health point bonuses when leveling up. Does the same for NPCs as well. So unless you use an effect in the game you'll start with just a hundred points and you'll stay there to the end. Endurance will still add on to that base health. The mod does a cool thing where it handles health and damage differently for each type of NPC. The mod does nothing armor, but because of how higher tier NPCs will be equipped with more armor they'll be tougher that way and not because they're just straight sponges. That applies to you too. Towards the later half you'll notice decent armor will keep you alive. Humans will be at the regular amount of around 100. Ghouls are actually a bit spongey, but with probably the most interesting mechanics. They;re the easiest to cripple and their heads do crit damage. So they're almost just like zombies. Just about all, but the very top half of the tier list of ghouls will die in 1 one shot. Don't be dissuaded those top ghouls will die in the 2nd or 3rd headshot. Supermutants are actually still spongey compared to humans. Not all that much more, but still it'll require a several more rounds than humans. All robot NPCs will be rather spongey against ballistic weapons. Use energy based and they're cheese. Be advised each robot type will have their own health pool amount so don't think a sentry bot or securibot will be just as easy as a mr gutsy.
Thanks for the effort JH, really helped me as I have watched a lot of youtubers and a lot of your videos especially tring to make that fallout comeback playthrough after some time ! :)
I'm going to level with you Juice, I've seen almost every single of your Fallout 4 and Fallout New Vegas mod list videos and none of them made me reinstall the game. Today however might be the day.
I like the way you did this. I really hope there are more list like this is the future. Already had fallout 4 installed but def made me think about adding more vortex profiles to my game. Thanks for that it opened up better gameplay styles and new builds to think about
No problem, ive been keeping up with all of them on youtube and twitter and they are still at about the same progress it seems like. I know it takes time but maybe an early access if possible
Don’t usually watch the channel because I don’t play fo4 anymore but I still liked the vid because of the clear dedication and time spent on the vid. Good job 👍
Saw the video, and went for the F4EE with the wabbajack setup, and don't know how recent the changes they made to their systems were. But you don't have to have the nexus premium to use the wabbajack. It will download the mods for you, just requires some interaction on your part, it will ask you to login in to their browswer/installer thing. And then as wabbajack works its magic you will have to click the download buttons yourself but it will highlight the right boxes for you so it makes it super easy to do.
Okay, so I just got a gaming pc for Christmas, and I am honestly so hype I can finally fully follow along with your mod videos, now that I am not restricted to just an Xbox. Keep up the good work homie! I am definitely staying tuned!
Excellent video. I'm gonna definitely download some of these. Already took Darker Nights and Tactical Flashlights. This is definitely going to make my next playthrough more interesting.
My girl gave me this game years ago for our Anniversary and I loved it got 100 percent completion on the game and all dlcs I still play it till this day
Well done making this video, I know it's almost a year after its publication, but I've recently been getting into Fallout 4 as an ex-Skyrim fanatic. These lists are really helpful to help change up how Bethesda likes to publish these games. So thanks, Juice. Your work was appreciated in this video.
The experience I’m looking for is to totally re-experience the main game and story, new items, graphics overhaul, maybe a few gameplay tweaks but only a couple light ones and bam a 2021 worthy play through
May be also a "pin-up doll" companion that helps you on quests...just for character to realize he was going nuts the whole time. That would be the a twist.
Played for years on the Xbox and have just got it for the PC, this video and others of yours has helped me shape my experience as i didnt want a normal play through for the 10th time
Even though I'm not into ultra-hardcore mods, I like the list you made. I have some of them in my list of FO4 mods to get when I eventually get a gaming PC since I've only played the game on Xbox. Also thanks to your list, I finally found the mod I wanted to try for my future PC, the 'Level Up Menu Ex' which was something I think should've been in the game since release. I think it would be cool if you made a 'Fallout 4 Beginners video on Mod Essentials' and a 'Ultimate Modlist For Skyrim' since people may want to try modding, but may not know where to start.
I think the "conquest" mod is a good one because it allows you to make campsites and if your ready you can make your own settlement, just don't make it near roads or it falls through when in camp mode
I like checking out a lot of your videos and mods you said he also helped me with a lot of news you give me is like somewhat of an idea for my playthrough next week thank you juice head
My mod pack adds Both Nukaworld and Far Harbor Creatures that would spawn normally at lvl 35+ in their biomes in the common wealth, makes the nights and weather smoother, more perma-autumn-y, realistic gore and limb damage, Unofficial Fallout Update 2, Busty Settlers, Player and Companions, The Craftable Tobacco Mod, We are the Minutemen, and the Counterfiter's mod for those who play as a smuggler/criminal. This pack surprised me as even on easy I'd be facing Raging Fog Crawlers at Level 1.
just went over the half mark of this video and im already over joyed with my new load order, i have always wanted to play fallout 4 with something new so i can really use the xbox and this video has fixed this issue, i hope you have a lovely day kind sir
modding skyrim or fallout into a sort of realistic hardcore experience is something ive enjoyed doing for a long time. i also really like both games allot more. when both you and the enemy are not massive HP bars. but instead take a couple of hits or 1 good hit to a vital area to go down. it makes the game so much harder, but also so much more rewarding. i also like adding allot of visual stuff personally. like improved item models. making your casings stay longer on the ground, visual magazines. all that jazz. then after a 5 minute shootout, the place also actually looks like a battlefield with blood and guts, and empty casings and magazines everywhere. i dont really have to reinstall fallout 4 because i never really stopped modding and playing it, which is just so great about this game.
I'm so glad i found this. All i have really added was CBBE or Modern Firearms and dealt with it, maybe APC transport and sentinel quarters. This completely changes how i play and its great! Thank god i watched this video! Though it does seem like something is causing my game to crash on launch, yet the only thing I've added really was darker nights, Extended dialogue and Pack attack (F4Se mods), and damned wasteland. No matter what i try it crashed in 5 seconds. It seems like its because of armorsmith extended and Tactical flashlights.
