In my run, i actually had meybe slightly better ending, having most of the art collection at bank vault ( except some 3 things i burned which was family painting, city documents and Songs and Legends manuscript ) i kept the painting not giving it to the colonel ( Milena died just like in this video ), i kept the Sefer ha-Zohar manuscript and didn't take the kids through the tunnel but Anja just came to Adam with box of toys/books for the kids ( and giving the rare book away to a kid was pointless, in the ending it said that it was kept in the rebuilt museum behind bulletproof glass ) and survived with him to the end of the war with the kids and running the orphanage with him, Ruben got touch with Anja and rebuild the Samuel Institute, i had the same ending with Zoran, which is the good one :)

Some of this is subjective. You can survive without burning any work with a good run. Giving the books to the children is optional but in the epilogue if you do this it does mention that it helped the children deal with the emotional stress of the war and come to terms with their loss of their parents. The book is then re-read to their children when they grow up so the stories are passed down. Which is better is purely narrative, unless you're interested in achievements to save all artefacts.

Why is it, that no matter wich ending you get in this game, it never feels like a Victory???

I think I did a(n almost) perfect ending without knowing it. Didn't go to the museum until day 20 (Ruben was dead on day 5) and only gave manuscrit to help evacuate the kids. Never went to see the Colonel or Taras and on day 35, the war ended. Milena was missing but presumly alive, the museum didn't burn and the collection was safe. Then, no message about Zoran in the epilogue but Anja had the good ending anyways

god damnit i knew that colonel is a fucking phony!!! but i thought giving away an important law suit case file is gonna make a lot of people suffered after the war... forgive me Milena :( so in my game Milena died, Tito died, the orphans are safe, Ruben missing, Zoran survived but killed himself... after the war, the museum able to recover some of the lost artwork including the paintings man, this game is really playing with your emotion 10/10

Why did you give the painting to the colonel ? You could give away only the documents to Fence so you wouldn't need to give the painting to the Colonel.

You cannot kill him straight by gun/melee, but you may counterattack and deal a very little damage. He doesn't have any weapon, but better make sure that other solders at base are gone 4 good before challenging him or they ruin your boss fight. It took me 1 full night 2 eliminate 9 troops and slightly wound him. On second night I have finished him and he still killed manager in ending. Once robber hand changes to normal - congrats, no one left alive except you.

I've heard about someone who played 29 turns. Rufus dies by Day 6, Anya never leaves her homestead. I've seen make it until Night 35, when the civil war ends, but they also burned some of the items, so I'm not sure if one of those items triggers the 'non-bombing on night 34' event. I'm wondering if one could last at the homestead until a turn that prevents Milena from being killed. If you last there until Turn 29, perhaps the War ends before all of the 'Museum items' occur.
@Humbilly
@Humbilly 5 лет назад
Knowing that the war ends on the night of 35. If you head to the Museum on the night of 23, you avoid being bombed on the 34th. Plus it gives you time to brace all of the posts that need bracing so you're able to get everything in the collection saved, and in the truck. And then? Nothing really. You can see the collection is saved, so there's no list of things that are not 'saved' because those areas didn't 'collapse' causing you to need to 'save' them. You don't learn what Zoran does after the war, although he's still alive at the end, or Melina, she leaves on the morning of the 34th, but you don't get a visit from Maria, so you don't know about her being captured. Kinda silly when you think about it. After all, When Melina IS captured, escapes and is shot, but still manages to, barely, make it back to the Museum, on the night it is bombed, with no problems! But she's unable to get back the night the war ends? You'd figured some kind peacekeeper, or civilian would be able to bandage her up in time before she arrives at the Museum...?
@zaldbathar4866
@zaldbathar4866 4 года назад
If you don't care about Ruben dying you may aswell leave on the first possible night lol. If your planning to give away the item that makes him leave to save the Orphans it wouldn't change a whole lot gameplay wise.

Title is a bit misleading because there is no perfect ending, there is mostly just trade offs. However in your case you make unnecessary trade offs, you get no benefit by giving the painting to Markov and also using the vault. If you ignore the colonel and simply do the vault ending, the painting (the crown jewel of the collection) remains safe, and is returned to the rebuilt museum after the war.
@zaldbathar4866

How were you able to get the ending on Day 24? I'm on like Day 26 with all the quests done other then freeing Minfila and giving up the thing that makes Ruben leave to get the children from the orphanage out of the city. I've given the Colonel the Painting and the trader the Crime Documents allready. What day did you change Shelters?

Yes, you may keep both a manuscript and a book of tales and still get a good ending. It will be slightly different.
@barendscholtus1786
@barendscholtus1786 4 года назад
Perfect ending? You gave away the two most precious artworks for no benefit, and you lost Ruben. It was obvious throughout the entire TWOM game that you can't trust the army. The dialogue suggests the deal with Taras is the bitter-sweet solution to saving the collection. The children were fine without making the dangerous journey through the tunnels. If you give them the book, they will be very happy too, and of course the books are saved. I haven't tried delaying the story until the end of the war to save the museum, nor does the epilogue mention that would be better. I guess you can try to delay everything as much as possible and maybe the bombings never come. Killing all soldiers and the colonel is wayyyyy too hard and clearly not the invented outcome. The bombing of the museum and the murder of Milena seems to be destiny.

This is the best ending
@loren5432
@loren5432 4 года назад
But the bombing of the museum defeats the purpose of trying to save the art. You lose a few precious piece of art, but get to preserve everything else. Although I agree it's not perfect. You can help the children but not give away Ruben's stuff, which allows you to keep him (also the children seem to be fine by staying in the orphan).
@unipachu
@unipachu 4 года назад
Wasn't Taras trying to hunt down some people who were testifying against him? So giving him the papers leads to more death than just letting the army general have the art?
@CalacaRoja
@CalacaRoja 3 года назад
I managed to kill the Colonel, the soldiers and the mechanic. Also I've tried to kill both Taras and the rebels, the game does not let you do that. I hoped that in day 30, Milena managed some way to get back to the Museum, or some of her contacts, and escape the city with the truck. The only ending I got is the bad ending where the museum explodes. I sacrificed the joo manuscript for nothing.
@PrinceyoungSimba
@PrinceyoungSimba 2 года назад
@@unipachu Taras will kill all the witnesses because there is a list of witnesses in the document you gave him. Then he destroyed the documents. As a result, after the end of the war, another sentence was found that there was no significant evidence and too many witnesses were lost to be able to convict him. You have to choose between protecting your legacy and letting the bad guys go. or punished worse, but unable to protect the entire inheritance.
