when you look at it as a kid perspective it's fun yeah tanks woo bang bang pew pew woooooooooo but from a adult perspective run , STEAL , kill , survival , scavenge , risk , and death and that's why I love this game because it brings the most important things that war can effect on children
I really love this game. Reminds me a lot of the hard times that me and 2 brothers went through. I was 5 years old when the war come and I am the youngest child in the family. My dad went to the hills and left us with my mom because the military were looking for men during the oppression. My mom didn't know where to go so we take refuge in a church near to our house, but then the militia took over the church and it wasn't safe anymore. Then my aunt found us and took us to an abandoned prison which was her workplace, we stayed there for shelter. Two brave women fed us under pain and suffering. I would like to thank my mom for raising us with so much love and grace, even when we were surrounded by violence, gunshots and military oppression. I love you, mom! Thanks for teaching us to always be positive in life and to always carry a smile on our face even when things are difficult.
That is the music my big brother always played when I was little. For a brief moment I felt young like those kids in the trailer, but the tanks twisted the mood and immediately made it mature. In other words, I felt like I just grew up all over again in one minute and forty seconds. Awesome trailer.
The game was inspired by the poor living conditions and wartime atrocities that Bosnian civilians endured during the 1992-96 Siege of Sarajevo, the longest city siege since ww2
by looking at the comments i guess most of the ppl donw there didnt really understand this trailer or even the game itself, wich is very sad because i always thougt that we as gamers where at a level that we could play games like this too with normal ppl in a war and ther life in it but looking at the comments i guess not, well more cod or bf for those ppl i guess, sad and disapointet :(
well its for ps4 and most of console fanbase is below 12 and can only understand simplistic shooting games... your expecting sony's fanbase to understand compassion sympathetic based games that have a strong story? Hah nice meme
feels like a big change in tone from the orginial trailers for this game with the song and animations until that last scene of a smokey city. Highly recommend the game on pc
+Moritz A That is because it is "The Kids Aren't Alright) by the Offspring who were featured on both Crazy Taxi 1 & 2. While it seems to be an odd choice for the trailer of a song like this, if you think about it it fits the tone of the game perfectly.
This war of mine made me cry when Pavle died killed by sniper when he simply tried to run home....this game is a masterpiece. Real game about WAR that should be made years ago.
+ChrisMCR I think the purpose of the music was not to be the "official" trailer's song. It's artistically placed to put you in the kids' shoes. It's loud, disruptive and fun. It's meant to make the viewer overlook a mother that just got startled by what she must've thought was a bullet going through the window and a severely injured brother (probably war related). When the song fades, it's a clear indication that the world the kids are in, is not the same world we all live in.
+SESHJonathan i think it was just to ilustred the youth of those kid that don't know what war really is, from the rock music to what the lyric saying ;)
Maaan this game made me think that the next Toy Story should be an spin-off set in one of the two World Wars. The toys could get lost from their owner and try to get back or I don't know... whatever they could think about it, related to war like child's fantasy, hope, innocence, family... and drama! Could be a nice and touching film to watch and I guess no one would complain about another Woody and Buzz Lightyear sequel, except for the haters. Or.... they could make this spin off after the fourth film. :)
Does anyone else think This War of Mine could have been better if they added in dynamic builds. I mean like you got a different building every time you play? And maybe locations change up? Because it seems like you can just play it once or twice and know how to beat it every time.
While I'm happy to see that "This War of Mine" is getting a sorta sequel, it just seems like their gonna completely change the gameplay from the original
