They main reason I love Caleb! The dude is stupid honest, and straight forward on what he is doing to make a honest living for him, and his family. He loves making money, and helping the small businesses make money with him. P.S. buying low, and selling high. Well that is business 101. Every thing you buy in your daily lives is from someone else that bought the item at a lower price then you, and reselling it to you for a higher prices. It's called profit. ( the two biggest company's doing this would be Amazon, and Walmart ) Caleb is just a small pea in a very big can of peas.( get it pea has in Pesale )😁🤑
Hello,I come from Italy and I collect videogames from 4 years right now,I can say the market here in europe and Italy especially it’s very different from the USA but there is something in common,The buy low, sell fast it’s a very good way to collect videogames without spending money from your pocket.Especially when u buy lot of games at low price,u can keep what u want in the collection and sell whatever u doesn’t,make little money aside and continue to but other lot to build up some money to buy more games.😂
Longtime watcher/first time commenter. My favorite video. Sale/sell, calling out collectors’ questionable understanding of macroeconomic drivers, it was like AI took all my “you know what grinds my gears?” topics and made them into a Renix Pesale video. Doing God’s work here, Caleb. Addressing the whole “only the poors should be allowed to buy things in Goodwill” vibe would have been the coup de grace. A+ would watch again
Caleb and Spanky have been a pleasure to work with, always responding emails asap. Great people and will continue to support with selling/watching every video.
Don’t know how I am just finding this channel now but I love it! Getting to see the behind the scenes and more chill and real version of yourself is amazing! Keep up the amazing content on all your channels!
I really liked this vid a lot, love me some fired up and raw Caleb. I was thinking how hard it must be to constantly see negative stuff written about you and your business, which you’re clearly so passionate about. I don’t care how lucky or successful or privileged someone is, having to filter through awful opinions etc about oneself must be a killer. All the love and respect to you guys, please keep doing what you’re doing. The videos are always entertaining and I look forward new ones, even if they may seem routine in their content/format. Cheers!
Those who choose to sell for a bit higher (me included) are not able to get inventory fast enough to keep selling under market. So for us to get maximum profit of what we get our hands on we sell abit higher. They may sell slower, but eventually they always get sold. Also you are basically doing this with Amazon.
Love your videos and hustle. You’re on another level with your business and many of us look up to you. In response to your statement about buying low and selling quickly, I do want to say that I’m someone that isn’t always needing a quick sale because inventory acquisition isn’t nearly as easy for me. I live in a medium sized college town and there are many resellers here. I have to snipe marketplace deals. So I try to squeeze as much as I can out of eBay sales, knowing that even if I sell quickly, that doesn’t mean I’ll always have inventory waiting to be processed right after it. If you have thoughts in response I’d love to hear them! Thanks again for great content and helpful advice.
OOF I love the nice sass. As a small business owner, it’s hard sometimes to kindly tell people that they’re actually incorrect. You do it with grace and kindness and I admire that!
3:40 Depending on the price I might buy a single copy off that stack 10:48 $6k for that 🤯 I'm afraid to ask how much a single disc version is... 12:44 lockable glass display cases with alarms 27:43 Metroid Prime is on Switch so GC version is...
Hey Caleb, just a heads up about the new disc cleaner: try putting a rubber mat below it or an extra towel of some kind. I’ve worked with those in the past and they can leak from the water tray at the bottom. Just thought a heads up might up some staining or damage to your carpet! Granted I’m watching this video a month later ;) and only just got to the point of you flexing with the new machine so maybe you changed up it’s location. Thanks for all the helpful content!
I am genuinely interested in what steps you have taken to prepare for your future once you are ready to retire or move on into a different business adventure. How much of your focus is spent on the now vs the future?
When it comes down to it, you're doing something right! Whether people agree with your sales tactics and your game acquisitions and purchases, it's on them. You have a model that works for you, in your region, in your household. I promise you that if I was brave enough to fork out enough capital and time to be as successful, I would! So would the hater Hanks! May God bless you and your family and business.
I'm a big fan , you worked super hard ,are passionate about what you do ,you are your own boss, you work in your conditions ,your own time , and are not working in a company you don't want too be in ,I'm happy for your success and really thankful for the information you are giving us with this video .The thing is I guarantee some of this information your giving us on this video you actually had too learn on your own, also you gave me an idea if I get a return from Amazon for now on, i will have too video record me opening the package 📦 Everytime, because even though you let it go 300 bucks is what some people make in 40 hours of hard labor work, sorry that happened too you.
yo man, love your videos. these like unscripted and more ranty videos are some of my favorite. I’ve been playing/buying games my whole life and just recently started reselling and you’ve been a huge inspiration to me. It sucks you have to deal with so much hate for what you do. P.S. lookin like a straight up hunk in this one 😮💨
Loved the economics rant with the coughing lmao that gave me professor vibes. I try to explain this to people all the time. Resellers dont just make up prices, we work our butts off to perform a constant balancing act of trying to buy low and maximize profits but move inventory quickly but also build relationships by not buying so low at times.
I am a long time collector and you would think I would be all hater hank. But I cannot get enough of your videos. From someone who runs pretty large businesses you have keyed in on some strategies we use in large companies all the time. I am just glad to see someone doing it in the field of video games. I don't have the time to do what you do but will live through your videos and enjoy the show. Keep it up. I love to see other people become successful.
Does Caleb still not know the easier way in my opinion to check if the gba games are legit are from the back side with the metal squares?? I dont think I've ever seen him check it that way
I've been buying loads of ps4. They will be collector items soon. I might get mine graded too. Always go by average price in the last 60 days, not a snapshot.
just to preface, im a bit stupid maybe. I always knew and understood supply and demand, but it required a bit of thunkin and thinkin in my brain to calculate. until your explanation made it fully click, i get it all now. there's a difference between knowing/understanding and REALIZING. its been fully realized now, idk how but you made it click. I love you man. (Also why are all the wisest people named Caleb?)
It's always OK to make mistake calleb just remember evey mistake is a chance to learn more for next time. Hope you still had a got month of making money even after that.
I get existential about whether reselling in a buy low, sell high format is morally correct at all. I buy low and sell high occasionally, but I always think about how I'm taking an affordable game off the shelf for someone who may not be able to afford it otherwise. I'm not condeming the practice, but would love to hear other peoples' takes on it. Personally, I'm having a harder and harder time justifying it morally
Sounds like you need an integration. I'm helping a local game store do this exact thing with their Shopify store and pull price from price charting and update prices accordingly and set alerts and limits.
Something else i do like about his channel's is his ability to read negative comments about his channel and not get red about it. You can tell he's got a good bussiness brain!
TV experts, sign off. 55" Sony A95K - $2000CAD 48" LG C3 - $1500CAD 55" Samsung S90C - $1800CAD What's the best option for a bedroom/office TV? I mainly use it for gaming and watching movies/TV shows.
If the games that are found by resellers for a good deal were found by the people that actually want to keep it, the price wouldn't be so high online. The sellers don't drive prices because they price them to market value, they drive the prices because there is no supply for good prices in the wild for non-resellers since those deals are taken away by resellers. 🤷🏽♂️
So you have to wonder why non-resellers don’t find the deals resellers find. There’s a premium found in the work needed to find those deals, and resellers take that premium. If margins were too low for resellers then no one would want to do the work, and if demand is still high, it would push prices back up to where margins are enough to bring back resellers doing the work. Resellers are often times just glorified delivery drivers. They pick up games that are offline and put them online for the convenience of people who want it delivered to their door.
I mean Caleb is a real gamer... That's why he just bought a pallets worth (5,000 copies) of Baland Wonderland for $200,000!! He knows a high quality game when he sees one!! LoL
