Ngl after seeing this scene, I can honestly say wholeheartly that Homelander actually earned one of the top 10 spots of greatest villians in the history of television. I told the community that even by The Boys standards, this season will be the darkest one yet and this episode exceeded the expectations by an landslide. Mans had to literally channel his inner crazy Joker to get one of the most twisted, psychotic laughs I ever heard in television. Definitely on par with Ledger's, Phoenix's and Monaghan's own style. Best episode of the Boys yet. The only time I felt chills and such utter tension with this type of crazy in Tv was when Joker told Batman the real plan of Harvey Dent back in TDK and when Walter did an hit and run on two childkillers then shot one of them in the head with no hesitation. Honestly, The Emmys are really moving the goalpost if they don't give Antony Starr the acknowledgement he deserves for playing Homelander. I for one, from Day 1 hated Homelander and I still stand on that along with the rest of the supes and I hope in the end, Butcher goes full Eren Yeager on them but even with that and with all the shit he's done, I still couldn't help but empathize with him regarding how Vought treated him. Vought is the real enemy of The Boys including the man who stood his ground to an psychopath with powers and lived, Stan Edgar. No wonder he become the man we all know him as becuase they made an monster. Even when he said that not one of the scientists stood up to Vought and said that this is wrong, I think in a sense, even with what they did, he was self-consicous with that though of wanting love and compassion and instead of showing that side of what being human means to a kid no less, instead Vought exploited that weakness to control him to be obedient and him realizing that makes me more of a threat. In other words, let the ultimate crashout event begin..... After this ep, Homelander is forever GOATED as one of the best villains of all time. And I hope I see more of Antony in other works of media as well cuz he is a master of acting.

At this point of Antony Starr isn’t nominated for an Emmy it would be crazy after three seasons of amazing performances what a episode

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Amazon is interested in trying to get Emmy's for The Boys. They release the seasons basically right at the beginning of the nomination year (ie, almost a full year out from when the nominations are submitted). Season 4 won't be eligible until the 2025 Emmy's, more than a year from now. I don't know if Amazon runs a campaign for the show, but they're certainly not being strategic about when they release it.

I was under the impression that Kimiko doesn’t use ASL, it’s a completely made up version which is why she had to teach Frenchie how to speak it herself.

It is. It was a made of language that her and her brother created. She only trusted Frenchie enough to teach to him.

@@caitlynmorgan1297 The sign language is a facet of her trauma, and she is comfortable sharing that with one person, but not everyone. The fact that she taught him shows that she and Frenchie have a closer connection. And it's not like the others can pick up a book or take a class in Kimiko Sign Language in their spare time.

My hypothesis on Hughie’s mom: I think she’s a hallucination. I swear we haven’t seen her interact/talk to anybody BUT Hughie. I think the V had an effect on him that’s progressing slower than Butcher’s.

In Season 2, remember at Sage Grove they were working on perfecting the V so when you put it in any adult arm, you get a perfect supe.
@steve6valdez

Hughie puts the V back in his jacket pocket. He takes off the jacket and leaves it on a chair. He goes to get something to drink leaving his mom with the jacket & the V. I've seen some other reactors come up with some convoluted theories as to how Hughie's mom got her own V. 😂 Including that Hughie's mom can shape shift and was actually taking the form of Ashley in Homelander's apartment leaving the floater and stealing V . 😂 It's Hughie's V from his jacket pocket but his mom put it in the dad's IV while Hughie was out of the room.

Komiko doesn’t speak asl. She created a language to communicate with her brother when she went mute.

Kimiko isn't signing in ASL, Im pretty sure its something she made up with her brother. Which is why rather than just learning ASL, kimiko had to teach Frenchie directly.

That lobotomy is the only scene I've not been able to watch in the entire series to date. Hearing it is MORE than enough. I just cover that part of the screen so I can see your reaction. I will never watch it. I can watch pretty hard core stuff, but the eyes will always be my limit. I have to give it to the writers. They got ME to look away!

Kimiko and Hughie don't really interact much, so it was cool to see them teamed up in this episode. Plus he’s less likely to understand hers and Frenchie’s made up sign language because of that

10:15 In my opinion, this is Homelander’s first justified act of violence in the entire show. If this were one of the boys, I would totally support them taking direct action to get personal justice, like with starlight and firecracker. To torture a literal child, for years, is absolutely despicable.

What has Simon Pegg been in that you guys have seen and love him so much for? Genuinely curious cause I’ve never seen this guy in anything else and hear you bring him up him all the time in this show. Also I’m 99% sure Kimiko isn’t using ASL but some other version of sign language that only her and Frenchie came up with. So the others could maybe learn some of it but it would be harder cause it has to be from one of them.
