What would you have done in this situation? Now I KNOW, the emergency numbers in Thailand are 911 or 191 for emergencies, fire, or unwanted intruding animals

Next time just start lying to people that start asking you unsettling questions. Say you’re here to visit your boyfriend, the neighbor is your best friend, your group of friends are waiting for you in the house and play videos of people talking.
@joiab11
You’re not dramatic- you listened to your intuition. I am so glad that you’re okay ❤
@jjharrison512
I've learned that being perceived as rude or dramatic is totally fine if it means it keeps you safe. Always follow your gut. Thank God you're alive 🙏
@meganngeorge
Never question what your gut is telling you. I’m glad you’re safe.
@AdventureTimeLoui
As a solo female road traveller I’ve had several gut feeling moments like this one. Always better to leave because at the end of the day we are vulnerable alone. Better safe than sorry. Feminine intuition is NEVER wrong! Glad you are safe 💗

I travel solo around the US and outside of the US. I don’t feel comfortable with cab drivers asking me all the kinds of questions you mentioned. I’ve found that when these cab situations arise, I say I can’t hear them. I tell them my ears are ringing b/c of the travel. I know it isn’t the best solution, but it gets them to stop talking to me. I also wear a fake wedding ring. I’m sorry you had to go through this, thanks for sharing. I love traveling, I’m not going to stop. Safe travels to everyone 🫶

I don't give ANY BENEFITS TO ANYONE when traveling. These people don't ask MEN all those invasive questions! And when I travel internationally, To ALWAYS STAY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS if possible. And as far as I'm concerned, ANYTHING WILL BECOME A WEAPON!

You did amazingly well. You called people, sent them your address, called the owner, packed and left and had the taxi pick you up at your doorstep. All the right things. Bravo!
@MelanieC1124
But you absolutely were being guided and protected. Your intuition was telling you, "this isn't safe, get out" and you did just that! Keep trusting your gut! 🙏🏾
@kimwilliams2212
As a female we don't have the luxury of being kind when meeting new males just keep that protective mask on at ALL times His thoughts are not your problem
@Scotty2hotty-xc6gi
Always sit in the backseat of the cab
@brinjpn
Never feel guilty for trying to survive. It’s better to be dramatic than dead. I used to feel guilt over stuff like that too but not anymore. People are crazy no matter how much we want to see the good in others. I’ve had bad experiences just living where I live and traveling around as a woman. What I do is low-stakes lie. Say things like “oh I’m actually meeting up with friends who are waiting for me. My significant other gets worried when I’m late, etc.” Stay safe

Don’t ever doubt your intuition. You absolutely did the right thing! I’m so happy you are safe!
@Q7d2
I love the fact that you left. Even if it was an animal, or what ever it was, Following your gut and trusting your intuition is a powerful move.

Isolation is a beautiful thing but not in a strange country as a solo female with no weapon
@rocimo124
I love that you pointed out the experience of so many women. Struggling between being “polite” and “rude” in potentially dangerous situations. As an empath and people pleaser I want to learn how to not care about being polite when it comes to safety. I feel like we were never taught that as girls. I hope for future generations of women to learn the same.
@KayyNova
It's better to be safe than sorry. Trusting your intuition was the best thing for you. No need to be embarrassed.
@michellehenriques9164
Don’t do that, don’t second guess your actions! You’re not wrong for doing what you did to protect yourself from harm. Your gut feelings are never wrong and even if they are, it’s always better to be safe than sorry! You’re still with us and I’m so glad because in the grand scheme of things, that is all that matters! Please eat something and keep your strength up. Vigilance of one’s environment is never ever a bad thing! Enjoy your visit and keep safe!

No please trust your gut. Currently on a solo trip and a guy next to me seem weird while we were waiting on an elevator in a mall in Lisbon. My gut told me don’t get on with him. So I pretended to walk away then got on with a couple who randomly showed up. Trust your gut always.
@saltyjenn
This was terrifying! I’m glad you’re ok! Never feel bad for following your gut! You absolutely made the right call to get out of there. Thank you for sharing and spreading awareness about knowing emergency numbers etc. 🙏🏼
