My Grandma and Grandpa had 21 grandkids. I'm #11. U could ALWAYS walk in the back door, into the kitchen and there on the table a huge jar of Oatmeal Creme Pie. At my Grandma's funeral lunch us grandkids served Oatmeal Creme Pies with ice cream on them.😁😁😁. Thx for the memory!!
@@DatGurlCookz_LuvsMakeupToo oh sweetie that’s a great but sad story. You have me crying here in SC. I’m so happy that you got to see what true love is and was! Love like that hardly exists anymore. Hugs from me to you 🤗🥰😢
My dad used to be a little debbie distributor. It was my childhood growing up just climbing into the back of his truck and grabbing whatever box of little debbie i wanted. I miss when they tasted better, it's definitely not the same as 20 years ago.
My Grandaddy worked at Little Debbie for 30 years and retired from there. He'd sometimes bring some home. And he always got a pretty hefty discount at the stores too.
@@robertbertram5158 We have little Debbie and Sunbeam stores here in TN. And yeah he had a paper thing that said he was a retiree. But you just have to be an employee for a certain amount of time. I have family members and friends that still work there
I waa always envious of the kids who had those in their lunch. I got stuck eating food from the cafeteria. those fudge rounds, pecan rolls and nutty bars are something I'll always remember from growing up. the oatmeal creme pie too!!!
When I was in college in the mid-90s, I worked as a camp counselor one summer. This camp had a movie night, and had a big plastic tub full of different kind of snacks to pick from, including Oatmeal Creme Pies. Maybe 1 in 10 kids picked the oatmeal pie. They all wanted fruit snacks or roll ups or something else. Us adults knew better and we all got a lot of Oatmeal pies all summer. If you haven't tried it yet, get some Blue Bell Oatmeal Creme Pie ice cream, if they have it in your area. It's the bomb-diggity.
If you use two oatmeal pies and put ice cream between them, it’s an ice cream sandwich! Or maybe freeze the ice cream sandwich after you make it, so it’s not too squishy. 😁
They're not the same! Not sure if they've changed the ingredients or maybe its because my taste buds are no longer satisfied with all the fake stuff? Lol I bought some last year and ended up giving them away because it just wasn't the same!
This takes me back to when I was 7 and refused to eat anything but these cakes for a week. Unsurprisingly my foster mom let me. Safe to say I got sick of them and would get nausea at the sight for years afterwards 😂😂😂
omg...i did the same thing!!..but i was 19...😂...and i bought out every store around...i literally ate a few boxes a day!...for like 3 months...and gained 30 pounds...
@@michellenuzzello3015 hey there are much more weird obsessions. Like eating toilet paper. For example, I can't eat biscuits and gravy without diced tomatoes lmao.
Orange JULIUS!!!! OMG 😱 I LOVE THOSE!!! I Guess I had a childhood!! Groung up a teenager in the 80's was The BEST TIME EVER!!! The mall was a HUGE thing to do then, always there were parachute pants, and MC hammer pants, and RAVE clothes store!! 😂
Girl get an air fryer, everything reheats or heats up faster and toasty! But definitely use liners to keep the mess down. I think I’ve seen some people line the bottom part with aluminum foil to catch the oil and any debris but I’ve just been using parchment paper liners with the food.
I've never had a Little Debbie anything, but back in the day there was an ice cream sandwich made with oatmeal cookies and a chocolatey coating. They were the best.
That is so yummy! I've done that, basically, just without the air fryer. Healthy Orange Julius.... Peel and and pull sections apart of four or five little Halo oranges or another brand of small orange and put in zip lock bag and also one Large orange peeled and sectioned with sections cut in half into the same bag.. FREEZE. Once they are frozen ( doesn't have to be rock hard tho), fill your blender about two thirds ice ( cubes are too big, ice bought in a bag seem to be easiest to work with) fill in frozen oranges to the top, pushing down SOME to fill in gaps, add about 2/3 bottle of water to begin with and about a cup and half vanilla almond milk. You can add sweetener ( I prefer, if I do want it a little sweeter, depending the oranges, to Agave sweetener). Blend. When you hear the ice is almost done, change the setting the highest for 30 sec. Check consistency and sweetness. Make adjustments if needed. I hope you try it. You guys are so fun. Thank you
I just love LD and putting Vanilla Ice Cream is just A1 MMM Good. You all are prefect together. You Young Fellow Should put a Gold Band on the Lady's finger. Don't let her get away she's a keeper. Well enough from this ole man Folks. As for me Over and Out.
I make yogurt parfaits using vanilla yogurt, fruit, honey, crumbled oatmeal pies and layer again. Yummy in my tummy😊 or put them in the freezer and use them for ice cream sandwiches! You're welcome 😅
OMG!! Icould live on those Oatmeal cream pie cookies, I grew up eating them as a kid. But that looks amazing but add a little bit of caramel to it. OMG!! That would be amazing 😊😊😊
Lol😂 i remember orange julius at the mall its the first thing i wanted that and a cinnabon so sad i dont think they have orange julius anymore loved it as a kid👍😄
Shame on you for never sharing all this majikal stoney food with your ol Lady...Girly, have him set up a whole weekend worth of meals and snacks and drinks, that you have never experienced...oh Man...yummy for your Tummies and your Souls...not to mention your physical soul touches...yep yep....love you both...thank you for sharing your Lights...🤪💚💜💚💜💚💜
The oatmeal creme are my favorite, the nutty buddy too. I also did a similar snack, only we made them ice cream sandwiches between two baked oatmeal creme cookies. My son called the triple cookie decker
Or, you can do like I've been doing all my life and put it in the microwave for a few seconds. It's really good warm. And the strawberry shortcake rolls are really good in the freezer. Yumm
Them innocent ones are the freakiest ones, and this is always true. Once they find that guy (or girl) they connect with. THey'll let the flood gates open.
