He was on life support and she was pleading with him not to go. Then the (drunk) Angel of Death arrives to snatch his soul and the lover fights to keep him with her. Absolute fire.
Are you guys serious??? Lol! He literally just listened to the lyrics and then replayed that part.. So yes he would totally know how to repeat what he literally just listened to.. Sometimes we try too hard to look for things and when we do that, we're sure to find what we're looking for.. Completely unaware that we only created it ourselves... 👍
I remember this truly amazing song, Irish singer Siobhan use to be in bananarama before she teamed up with this outstanding American singer and what a video too.
Death was coming for him and she begged him to stay with her! (Hence the Creepy lady (Death) .. hehe) To fight for what they have, to not give in to death, to just Stay with her!! This was my era, and I loved this song since it first came out, I have even got this generation to like it too!! There is such a big message here! About fighting for what you really want!! :)
Your love of music is so heart felt and is so visual that I am truly touched don’t change a thing you are doing a great service and we need what you bring which is pure and true joy your going to go far thank you so much
I believe part of the reason for the "angel of death" Siobhan's performance was the fact that it was the end of a long day before they got to her part and she was utterly smashed, her early work as backing for Fun Boy Three and later (after Fun Boy Three) independent work with Bananarama had some fun episodes
I read she was so sick of waiting for HER Part to be filmed she started to drink Vodka by the bottle and was thoroughly smashed when she come out. If you watch carefully you can see her stumbling and almost loosing her balance a number of times. Not that I'm complaining, it just makes her look all the more deranged, so scarier.
All of this album was unbelievable. Cat Woman from the Moon. You’re history, Dinner at Andres. Let me entertain you. Hello (Turn the radio on) for gods sake. The list goes on. Mike drop album, truly.
The funniest part of watching this is I saw Siobhan Fahey (death) talking about this video and apparently she was waiting so long for her part that she was full on drunk by the time she did her whole death stalking bit!( which once you know, is easy to see and funny AF!❤) I love both these talented ladies!!
My interpretation of these lyrics are a bit different than others. I think the characters in this play are 1. The dying man. 2. His addiction and 3. The angel of death. Listen to it again from that perspective, and judge for yourself. ✌🏼😎
I absolutely loved your reaction to shakespears sister 🤗, one of the best songs from the 90s" if you like this then you'll like kate bush👍 another great musical artist..look into wuthering heights/ running up that hill, or babooshka😃 enjoy and much love from across the pond in the uk💛💛💛
The Song reminds me of Orpheus and Eurydice in the Greek Mythology. I'm sure a lot of people have read about that story. This song kinda personifies it.
Sceez I love your reactions, you get us pumped! There are all kinds of little gems that got lost over time… I always felt like she was trying to speak to a comatose lover and she is fighting death to keep him… she should have come off the top gurney and laid the people’s elbow on her 🤷🏻♂️🙏
This song us like someone took a perfect palmtop.g and nade that in to a song. Everything about it is perfect. The sound, the beat, the lyrics the way it's presented , every stroken is on point.
Honestly? Same. And now, I still think her character is the better match for the(clearly depressed to the point of thoughts of "escape") guy. No empty slogans, no emotional blackmail, no possessive, selfish, obsessive tendencies... Just honesty, openness about harsh truths, and forgiveness.
This song they swapped places. The lead singer here was usually the backup and harmony. The success of this caused a rift. Siobhan, usually the one in the spotlight, was very drunk filming this, and they broke up and didn't talk for years.
I always saw this as battle between life and death. The first women represents life and the second clearly represents death….and both are trying to claim him. A lot of people come to same conclusion but think of the first woman as his lover and love conquering death… However I see both women as spiritual symbols and not as actual people….only the dying man in the room is physically there….the women are personifications of the internal fight between life and death that the man is going through. And even though life has won this round ultimately death will be back to claim her prize at some point in the future. Death has dominion over all.
Dude you keep doing songs that my last step mom loved. I literally used to steal this CD from her when I was young. Now you just have to do a song off Ingénue by KD Lamg & you’ll have hit the trifecta. Or the indigo girls.
Hes on life support and shes his partner begging for him not to die and to keep fighting and stay with her. Then angel of death comes along (notice he has a medical fit as she comes down to2ards him)
It's an anti-suicide song. This is how I always interpreted the song. On Wiki the song was inspired by a film about Cat-woman falling in love with an earthling!: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stay_(Shakespears_Sister_song)
Omg ❤ 🎉 She fought death for her love and won. I did too once... six years later though , death won. RIP my Eagle 😢💔 ( Corey) The angel of death is Siobhan from Bananarama. Great song. Hey Hey Sceez, 👋🏻 I hope you're having a great day. 💌🙏🏻
