Ecko doesn't have time powers yet, last episode was just a visual metaphor of them remembering their fights as kids, then it playing out in current time.

The second transmutation was his body to fix his lungs, as shown by the runes. That transmutation never happened though and only his hand was changed. There's no matter of substitution, because her body doesnt change whether or not Viktor's body could withstand the transformation. She just interrupted the process and his body didn't transform.

Viktor ran out of Shimmer, but tried to do it again anyway, so it used Sky as a substitute.

But the magic isn't requiring a sacrifice, the transformation just destroys what it touches, usually. But shimmer makes people tough enough to face tank a bunch of hextech crystals exploding in front of them and stuff. Maybe Viktor was enhanced enough last time to survive the second operation. Or maybe he would have died. Either way we'll never know and Viktor simply didn't get enhanced the second time because Skye interrupted the process. The Hexcore on the other hand was able to grow.

Vi has scene plenty of violence, , murder and death. But not WAR, when thousands die for no reason but "becouse they were there". Or, we're they die of starvation, thirst or mutilated infections. When whole neighborhoods are burned along with everyone in them, no; she has not seen THAT! THAT! is what she doesn't understand.

yup, the transmutation most likely would'nt have worked if sky didnt show up. Its established that organic matter normally can't survive it, so victor needed the shimmer to take the brunt of the transformation for his leg to become what it is (not a prosthetic btw, its all metallic because of the transmutation). But that second time he tried the transmutation with i think his hand, he didnt have any shimmer like before but still proceeded. If sky didn't arrive and hold on to him to be considered a substitute for what the shimmer did, victor would'nt have lived through it, or he'd atleast lose his arm is my guess. also, the caitlyn shower scene, atleast by my interpretation, was showing her replaying what happened with vi over and over in her head thinking of what she couldve done or said differently to prevent her from leaving. Plus you're onto it with the oil and water comparison. vi says they dont mix but they show an alternative, that maybe theyre more like blood and water, very different but still able to mix.

Also, I've been told that if you want to know which Arcane characters are meant to be foils for one another, look at their eyes. Vander and Silco have the same color eyes, Jayce and Viktor have the same color eyes, Jinx and Caitlyn have the same color eyes, Vi and Sevika have the same color eyes, etc

My read of Vi is that she doesn't want a full war, but she does want someone to give her enough backup to kill Silco specifically. Then she can run away with Jinx and the council can make peace with whoever replaces him as sort of defacto leader of the undercity. And if a few people working for Silco have to die in the process, she won't ENJOY it but she'll accept it as a necessary sacrifice. Maybe the number of children they save in the long run by removing him will even be greater than the number they lose to get there

Damn, your prejudice against Vi is so strong. I disagree, Vi is transparent. she hates the topsiders that's obvious but she hates Silco too because obviously. And if you ever say you dont see CaitVi when they become official, istg.

Vi and Caitlyn are the better version of yang and Blake and i won’t be convinced otherwise! Also your not ready for the next and last episode! The conflict with atlas and mantle in rwby only wishes it could’ve been half as good as the conflict with piltover and the undercity.

pretty much eery since character in this show is grey, most of them have good intentions but are just not going at them in a good way. like vi wants to take down Silco and cus of that a child dies but that also shows that Silco was using child labor which is also a fucked up thing to do. also the whole Caitlyn in the shower scene is her regretting how her and vi's final scene went and her hoping that she would come back instead of leaving

It's so weird to have these coming out on a regular basis after getting used to seeing them every two months. "You know how Ruby had that Ruby homophobic meme? I'm surprised that never happened to Arcane." It did. "Jinx is homophobic" and "Jinx is the only homophobe in Runeterra" are both popular memes. "Did it need a sacrifice?" It wanted to change his body, which would heal it, but Viktor needs Simmer to survive a change like that. He was completely out, so it only changed his hand, and then performed the rest of the transformation on Sky. She ended up as dust the same way the plant did. We don't know what it needs vs what it wants. "Is this about oil and water?" Neat how you picked up on that as many miss the visual metaphor. Oil and water do not mix but blood and water do.
