I had my colours done about 8 years ago. Prior to it I wore so much khaki and beige as I thought it made my green eyes ‘pop’… turns out I am a Jewel Winter and it’s changed my life (no exaggeration 😂). I now live in bright jewel toned colours and it’s made shopping so much easier! Plus I get so many compliments and in group photos I really ‘pop’.

I have been a follower for about 10 years and never normally comment but just wanted to say thank you for your videos and Instagram on styling outfits. I am a mum of 2 and you have inspired me to update my wardrobe and add some more colour. I have been wearing the same outfits pre pregnancies but have realised my style now in my mid 30s is changing and to go with it and find outfits that fit the new me. I have found I have got more enjoyment out of clothes

I’ve got a similar colouring to you Lily, and Louise talking about a warm skin tone but a cool undertone makes so much sense. Lots of those colours are what I’m drawn too and look good on me but never would have said previously that I was a cool tone.

Such a lovely experience, and Louise looked so nice! I had my colors done a year ago and it's been lifechanging for my makeup and my wardrobe (I'm a Soft Summer). I now live in colors I had never thought of before, but that suit me so well.

I love this and I loved how Louise focused on the things that looked better rather than 'eugh this is hideous, you look awful' which I feel I've seen in colour analysis before! Did you discuss gold vs silver?

Yeh totally. We briefly did I think at the end. We ran out of time. I think she said silver usually goes with bright winter but she knows I wear mainly gold and said she thinks that suits me too.

This is a big enduring thing in Korea at the moment and their color analysis is very in depth and go through many more things to consider. Fascinating. I love watching Colour Analysis Studio on YT they are based in Melbourne, Australia.

I’m a bright winter too!! Getting my colors done completely changed how I dressed and felt about myself in color, I was wearing way too much autumn colors before

Love this for you! Glad you and your Mum had a great experience 😊. I was guessing winter but felt conflicted about your undertones so interesting you guessed spring! I had mine colours done awhile ago and find it really helpful for finding a colour palette all works together after knowing the common denominators of that makes sense. I think you’ll enjoy having this info while you’re in the next phase of developing your style 😊.

I had my colours done a couple of months ago and it actually made me more confident in wearing colours. I’ve always wanted to wear more colours but clearly been going for the wrong ones as a true autumn.. Going back to work in August after my second baby (been doing IVF, pregnant, breastfeeding, mat leave pretty much non stop since 2019😂) - it has really helped me as I update my wardrobe.

I also did a colour analysis last year and found it so interesting! I am a true autumn and fortunately I love the warm rusty colours, olive and browns. I think subconsciously most people gravitate towards the colours that suit them best.

I don’t know. I think I would have loved to have been an autumn. It feels like an easier season to dress for! Brights in place where it’s miserable weather most of the year feels like a challenge 😂

I had my colors done and I’m a deep autumn which was my own guess but honestly it was still worth it and a lot of fun. It’s all colors I love too so win win. My guess for you was winter!

So interesting and I had predicted that you were a cool winter before the start of the video! I am similar skin tone with dark eyes, hair and moles but can (fake) tan well. I’m a few years older than you and have had more blond put in my hair and have had to go more of an ashy tone as warmth just does not suit me! How you were describing how you wanted to style your winter outfits was great to hear and is getting me excited for my winter wardrobe and palette too. Great video, thank you for all of us that feel slightly lost or, dare I say it, more invisible. It is a great help to those not able to afford colour analysis but can see the impact colour can have. Loved it!!

I’ve just turned 50, and have booked an appointment for a color analysis. I’m looking to edit my wardrobe (there are so many items that I never wear) and to focus on investing in quality items for a capsule wardrobe. I think having the knowledge of colors that suit me will increase my confidence and make me a better shopper. Thanks for another great video.

Oooh yes this is THE video of 2024! Love a colour analysis 😍 So much fun watching. I had the same feeling as you; something was just off, and I wanted to wear something else than just Black. So when I had to pretty much re do my wardrobe after pregnancy I got my colours done, and I’m a true summer! So all the pale drapes you hated are my colours 😂 so interesting how they can make some people really drained, and others Shine!

Dear Lily, this was really interesting to watch. Me myself did a analysis two months ago and was also analyzed as a winter. But I am more between true and deep winter. In the beginning I was kind of sad because I am drawn to more autumnal colors, something less brighter and muted. But now I started to look for more deeper colors such as reds, pinks, greens and blues. There are still colors I really don't like and would never buy, such as teal. Black for example I do suit, but I don't feel good in it. Really happy that you are kind f the same palette like me so I can get really inspired by your style :)

Love this video Lily. As you've been adding more colour over the last few months, I've also been wondering what colour season you'd be. This is the season i thought you would be! You look great in those colours! It is the season i think i am too, so i also will be looking for a grey coat this winter!! (Looking forward to your recommendations!!) It is really nice to follow someone who has the same season. I too got stuck in the "neutrals" era, and i ended up wearing colours that didn't suit me. But let's bring back the colour baby!! Loving seeing you so happy in your videos.

I found the colour analysis really interesting and would be intrigued to see what season I’d be. I think I’d really struggle when out shopping to pick the right tones though, as there are such subtle differences between some of the colours and whether they are warm/cool tones (I appreciate the cards might help)!

I'm colour matched as a clear dominant Spring palette by a professional and suit very similar colours to you/contrasts but NOT black and pure white so I think that's the main difference. My analyst initially thought I would be a winter but wasn't once we started draping - It's really interesting.

Hi Lilly! I’m mid video and usually never comment, although I’ve been an avid viewer for some years now. But I just wished you had talked less and let the expert give her unbiased opinion, it’s really hard to understand her real feedback when you’re jumping the gun and saying what you like and what you don’t like 😅 I’m sorry, I don’t mean it in a toxic way, but I was really interested in this and it is getting on my nerves 😂

Sorry you felt that way. I was just being myself and acting natural (didn’t really think about the camera being there). But from meeting Louise I could tell she was confident enough to challenge anything I said that didn’t align with what she thought.
