I feel so bad for Herbert. This just feels like Philip Rivers' career all over again: a top 5 QB that gets no help from his team and a potential hof career gets wasted.
Matt Canada was so bad at being the OC that it caused Pittsburgh to do something that they haven't done since 1941. And that's making a coaching change in-season. RIP to the Narrative of Steelers not firing coaches.

@@seanshanleyAnimeUWLPer It makes me wonder how different the past two seasons could have been if the Steelers weren't so adamant on not firing coaches/coordinators mid-season; they barely missed the playoffs last year and they look like a wildcard team this year; even two close losses going the other way could have had dramatic repercussions.
Since Thanksgiving is tomorrow, I am thankful for another week of the amazing group of Tom Grossi, Barry McCockiner, ThatsGoodSports (Brandon Perna), TubFrog, and UrinatingTree and their combined Five Finger Death Punch of awesome and comedic NFL content. Only question, which finger for each person? (Not including ChiseledAdonis because he's a whole hand by himself).
Thankful for you Tree! Your content greatly helps my enjoyment of Football. I am someone who only really got into it at more than a super casual level in the past few years and you were definitely one of the reasons I started to watch more and pay more attention. Sportsball will always be one of the cornerstones of the season for me!
"Seattle always tends to have trouble with the Rams." It's an NFC West thing, Tree. Rams own Seattle San Francisco own Rams Seattle own San Francisco (Although, i'm starting to think it was Russell Wilson the whole time) The Cardinals are just... there.
You know what the worst part of what happened to Burrow? He's going exactly through what Andrew Luck went through. A QB who could be really great and be a franchise savior, but the team doesn't do anything to help protect him and was pummeled by the opposing team. You want to know how bad it is? In his first 55 games, Luck was sacked 115 times. Joe Burrow has played 52 games and has already been sacked 148 times. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Burrow suddenly retired because of his health like what Luck did.
@@thepolarphantasm2319 And yet they chose to give Burrows an ungodly contract... for mediocre play last season. That's not protecting him, that's putting too much faith in an overrated QB.
@@MLPIcebergmediocre play? He was fifth in passing yards last year, tied second in touchdowns, second in completion percentage, sixth in passer rating, second in yards per game. This is a ridiculous statement.
Damn. *That* is a scary comparison. I actually had & continue to have this strange feeling that Burrow will have a short but spectacular career. But reading that stat makes me think I'm only gonna be half-right. He's a gamer, but on the wrong team. Kollmann did a piece about how the Watson trade screwed over the teams with less $. Cincy was the team he used as an example. I'm not sure if anyone's even done a cost-benefit analysis of what teams make in championship years, but I have a feeling it doesn't make up for what they have to spend to get there. Do people in Detroit buy more Bengals' merch if the Bengals win the SB? Plus look at o-lines the league over. Who has a good one? Philly, the 49ers, the Lions and... the Browns maybe? This isn't about to get fixed tomorrow.
I went to the Bills game and I was so happy to see the Defense eat but felt terrible for Zach. He really has gotten the short end of the stick but his decisions dont help either.
Watching that lions game I thought. Ohhh here we go, there’s the lions we all remember. They managed to come back and win it, thank god. Let’s see if they can manage to win their Thanksgiving game. Fingers crossed.
I'm starting to look forward to these more then I look forward to actually watching the games. Thank you Tree for all the work you do. It doesn't go unappreciated.
Being from a city without a nfl team is great since i got to choose my team without getting weird looks. But what's even more great was going back on my original decision all those years back and not deciding on San Diego
And Bert Bell was the part owner of that team, so he fired himself. This might literally be the first in-season coaching change in franchise history where the guy didn't fire himself
