Good day! Today I will show you few lifehacks, that will greatly improve you FPS in MSFS 2020! This includes manipulations with Nvidia control panel and tweaking the traffic settings in the MSFS itself. Write in the comments, what FPS are appropriate for you in the MSFS, it will be interesting to read! Buckle up, and watch until the end, 'cause it will be an extremely useful information!

What fps do you think is appropriate for playing msfs?

30-40 is quite a comfortable balance between performance and graphics i think

Stable 30fps with screen refresh rate also at 30Hz (V-Sync) is the best.

If you can get a STEADY 30fps in MSFS, you're fine. Not much point in more. Other games you'd want about 60fps.

in reality, the only thing that really had any difference, was the fact that you changed the Traffic density, all the other options you've changed didn't do anything at all.

No, I tried only changing the traffic, and not touching the Nvidia control panel, it gave a boost for only 5 fps. One really useful setting in control panel is to set "prefer maximum performance" and that will really do a change! Also everything depends on each computer, since we all have different specs, so results may vary.

@@flightandfind oh, you must be running a laptop then, that changes a lot on them. on a high end machine, the most damaging thing to FPS is the traffic.

Hope you know that when you use the reflex in the sim it will override the nvidia control panel setting, so setting the low latency to ultra does nothing because in your msfs settings you have reflex on.

Nvidia control panel tweaks weren't only for more fps, but also for better graphics. I don't know so many thing about computer graphics :P

I never said anything about fps or graphics . Your response doesn't apply to what I informed you about the reflex technology in msfs.

Take it off of Direct X 12 and get even more performance.

well, i like the music...but, you don't list your hardware. That makes anything else irrelevant. Much of the Nvidia control panel changes just move that task from MSFS settings to Nvidia settings. Yet you don't turn them off in sim. Also you're running DX12 and DX11 will net you easily 5fps-10fps right there. The GPU is barely using 4GB and the improvements to the sim settings of traffic density make a huge difference. you don't go to TLOD OLOD etc, 2 biggest FPS killers. If you are running this on a laptop with i5 16GB RAM and 6GB VRAM gpu, I get that you don't see much fps. Rather than shifting settings to load up the GPU, which is totally underutilized, you make little gains in control panel. You can't make a video like this without sim settings. Sure, can make any video you want but...

Thanks for the advise of switching to the DX-11! I will add to the description my specs, and all the graphics, that I have are done for control panel tweaks, so at the begging of the video I have the same settings as at the end (and they are exactly for control panel)
