can I ask what you suggest in order to lay a continued weld with this thin material but not blow holes in it? for me short tacks without letting the slag cool over works well, much like in the video there is no obvious inclusions, the weld seems to be well merged into both surfaces. what more do you want? I am sure there is a specific electrode that works well for this, but in the real world you got what you got.
@@gregorioruz8675 a fair suggestion, almost certainly a fine gauge electrode would be best with thinner material but honestly for me at least it is quite difficult to obtain electrodes in any type other 6030 3.5mm and 2.5mm. I could really do with 1.6mm ideally but is not readily available in my location so I assume this is the case for many people. I guess my point is that this technique is legitimately welding. It does work. At any rate, stick welding thin material is just more difficult than thicker material. Keeping it cool enough and avoiding the arc blowing holes when the angle is not quite right and so on.
