Can we take a moment to appreciate just how appropriate this song was playing in the background of the first episode when Ruby was kicking some bad guy butt? I mean "They see you as small and helpless, they see you as just a child, surprised when they find out that a warrior will soon run wild" That was just brilliant.

I like to think Ruby is playing the guitar, Weiss is singing, Blake is playing bass, and Yang is drumming.

Coming back here after so long feels so good and nostalgic... The good days of RWBY. This song is literally iconic even tho it only lasted one volume. The first three volumes op's are so memorable compared to nearly everything after

I get this song now. I see what’s going on. This song is a prophecy of what’s to come in the show.

This seems like something Summer would be telling Ruby. Ruby always knew she wants to be a huntress, Summer would've known it. The first part is encouraging to reach for that dream. Particulary interesting is the line "We are lightning straying from the thunder, miracles of ancient wonder". I suspect that ancient wonder is Silver Eyes, and "we" is what leads me to believe it's Summer singing. Lightning straying from the thunder is probably supposed to mean that their lifes will be like no one else's. Now the second part is more of a warning. Summer knows, and wants Ruby to know, that job of a huntress is nessecary("Your world needs a great defender, your world's in a way of harm") but also extremely dangerous("This world's unforgiving, even brilliant lights will cease to burn"). Now we get to line "Legends Scatter". Remember what's written on Summer's grave? "Thus kindly i scatter". While this line _probably_ foreshadows what happened to Pyrrha, it can easily aply to Summer herself.
