Waoo this is amazing. Thanks for the work you are doing. I have been in nuer land in akobo jongolei state for four years and am enjoying your teach. We have a lot of simalarities with many tribes in south sudan. Keep the good work👍🤝
a good job in helping us learn our linguistic roots--i can get all the langi numerical counting but i am very lost with the Nuer words. Keep up the good job, Ongwen!
very interesting. next time i would want to join up with you to learn more and i also get time to teach you luo language of Kenya(southern), but i hear lango and our language is not that far
Sounds like Liep Lango in Thok Naath Liep can mean tongue, talking(liping away), wait or waiting, expecting, patience… Thok Naath thok means language or native tongue(speaking) Naath the people Liep Lango is language of the Lango people
But we Already know! It's you who is not keen. We originated in Eritrea Abbysinia about 5 - 600 years ago. Not SSudan. Ask the Luo cultural foundation and read widely on the subject it was settled already.
Pe Anyang ginoro kadi acel...what I know we share a lot with anwak tribe of Ethiopia and jaluo of Kenya we flow so well with them . though in Uganda we are related to karamojong,Teso and kumam(Ateker)
The anyuak language is very similar to the Luo-gang (Acholi). In grammar as well as in vocubulary it is almost completely identical to the Gang dialect. Anyuak language is the most ancient of all Luo tongues. The Lango-Luo language is derived from Acholi.
@ongwen Lao dog, can they even sing Mac alyel Iwi got...,cikilic cikilic oi,dek malakwang olelo ni an pwod atidi etc.lango native songs of te otem and physical education during my childhood.
You're going to find even more. Lango used to called their women, OLYEKO OGUTA that meant Mrs OGUTA. But there were also the short ones like ALYEK. Example was ALYEK OWEK the former model. She was nuer.
And what do you say about the counting of the muzee in the youtube Ancient Lango? Did you check this? You are confusing people but start with simple research within the people locally.
Lango are originally eastern nilotic. Lets not use a 90 year old language that was introduced by British as a determination of ethnic identity. There's a generation of Lango in Uganda that is using politics to rub away the lango eastern nilotic Ateker identity i don't know why? You cant hate yourself and extinguish away your heritage simply because you quarelled with your brother.
Sorry about dad dumping. But there is a Leblango - English dictionery. Can that help as a beginer tool? Am also working on an online Leblango course if you can wait.
Well, History can be rewritten after comparisons of cultural and dialect similarity. But the reality is that Lango are not Nilotics. Luo are the Nilotics. Lango are not Nilotics but Nilo Hamites. The Nilohamites includes: South Sudan -Toposa -Otuho The Bari of Juba Uganda -Karamoja -Iteso -Kumam -Lango Kenya -Turukana -Kalenjin -Massai -Iteso These groups are called the Maa of Nilo Hamites. Lango are not the Luo. It is because of intermarriages with the Luo. Read about the Maa migrations.
That however is debatable. Yes Lango are not Luos. We only speak Luo. But how do you call the bigger group that inlcludes both the Nilotics and Nilohamites?
@@the_miltonian that book was written for the interests of European. There should be a proper research on Lango. The first point of research is Abila of each clan and this should be done spiritually
John ive noticed there is a deliberate effort to link Lango to Luo as ethnicity and to rub way the Ateker cultural heritage whch is so sad I wonder hy? Just because someone quarelled with his bother doesnt mean they should extinguish their cultural heritage from them. This poor identity has made us weak and lost as a people.
