I calculated that if I buy the biggest coin box in the store (15,500 coins), in my currency, Canadian Dollars, it would mean that every 100 coins is worth roughly 94 cents. So I also need to factor that in, because if a bundle is 700 coins in the game or 7.00$ in the online store, it’s more worth it to buy it in the game.

Just tried the website, clicked on an expert box, and I can't even input what's in there because the site doesn't give you the option to pick great balls or ultra balls.

It's probably because you can't buy great balls or ultra balls in the shop, so there' no price for them.

Sadly, from my experience. they don’t make any good bundles featuring premium battle passes. I’d rather have those so I can control my RNG better than egg pools!

That it shows you the price you would pay if you were buying the items in the most efficient way possible (it does seem to calculate buying, say, 50 Star Pieces as if you get 6 of the bundle of 8 pieces, then 2 individual pieces) against the box value is definitely good. However, I question the percentage saving. If you were going to save "98.14% over base prices (3943)", that would mean you would be paying ~73 for the box, which is no correct. If you're paying 1990 when the box price is 3943, then you're actually paying ~50.5% of that value, so you're saving ~49.5%.

The calculation is correct given the wording they are using. But it's a really stupid way of explaining it. Your calculating it is how it should be explained on the website as it's more relevant and easier to understand and how i'd imagine most of us would phase the savings. Thanks for the comment. I'll keep this in mind when using the website.

About the calculations @ 3:53 Right now its base value is the reduced/bundle one set at 100%. It calculates the „additional percentage cost“ you’d have to pay extra if you were to buy it regularly or with worse bundles. Example: 1990 x 1.9814 = 3942.986 Just a very unintuitive way by the tool to describe savings…

It doesn't have a field for Ultra Balls or Great Balls, and it's missing 4 lure types. EDIT: Just realized it's probably because you can't buy those items in the shop so there's no set price to compare them to....

Some questions: - what time and how often does the collection of bundles change? - can you buy a bundle more than 1 time? (I’ve never tried, but the bundle stays on the screen even after I bought it, hence the question)

This is indeed handy, especially with the Rayquaza elite raids this Saturday and GO Fest Global in 2 weeks after. Not too hard to calculate if you mainly want raid passes as they're always 250 for 3. 9400 coins would give you (9400/250)*3=112.8 raid passes.

while the intent is there, it irks me somewhat that the tool is using base prices, when i think it should be comparing to community inputs of historical prices. Or that it calculates the percentages off of the reduced price, instead of the base price. If you're trying to see the discounted % it should always be off of the cost being compared to. For ex: i think historically you can get prem passes for around 60-80, and anything below 60 is a great deal and speaking to my 2nd point: 0:36 should reflect a ~50% discount from the base price, etc etc

Aboustely trash sick of these terrible bundles boxes. Remember when Niantic had the 1 coin bundle and it was actually good. Nothing good last in this game if it does they make it 10x worse

The two best deals im the new boxes are the 5425 coin bundle for 99 passes, 2 eggs, 2 shards (for passes) and the 7000 coin bundle with 50 incubators, 50 super incubators (for hatching). Every other bundle is lower ratios of value on those two key commodities with other random things thrown in.

I've noticed this a lot with the boxes over the last couple of months- what looks to be a really good 'deal' at first glance, often ends up going to cost more than if I just bought the same number of the item I actually want at full cost. The calculator is cool & will be super helpful when in a hurry, as I've mostly been doing the math in my head to work out if the box is actually worth buying or not (I just take the shop price of the item/s I want most in the box & times it by the number given in the box & use that to decide if it is worth purchasing or not... The last few months I've not bought any boxes- aside from an accidental purchase after dropping the phone.)

The Voyager box is a catch 22 for new players. Unless a new player has a stable group for t5 raids the tms aren't going to be as valuable as storage. It's also important to note that most dual type attackers want either a community day move or a signature move. The average casual new or old is going to want an elite tm or two more than a stack of regular tms especially if your storage is somewhat small.

This is a life saver. I always try to remember what the prices were during the pandemic and compare to that when buying boxes e.g. a good deal for incubators should work out at roughly 120 coins per super incubator and 50 coins per blue incubator. This will speed things up massively!
