They make pretty fun and professional content. I like them, the time that they tipped thier cruiser on its lid then manage to get it right way up and out of the lake before the tide came in gave me alot of respect for them.
ford? what ford? what makes you think i like fords? why would i be into the two worst cars , that are almost finished in australia anyway? im not stupid enough to buy a holden or a ford, i like reliable well built cars, thats why i buy japanese . ford and holden have always been way behind japanese cars, and always will be. thats why they are pretty much finished in oz.
I wish my Dad was still alive to watch these. He taught me how to 4x4 from the time I could walk until a year before he passed, just over a year ago. I remember going down roads that looked like they hadn't been traveled in years, in our 1985 Blazer. Then we upgraded to a 96 Bronco followed by the current beast (and I don't care what anyone says, it's capable!) our 03 H2. Anyway, thank you all for these videos. They have reignited my off-road passion and my son and daughter will soon get to experience the Zuni Mountains in New Mexico, just as I did, 30 years ago.

Great show guys, love it. As a professional chainsaw user can I say one thing. Give some thought to use chainsaw PPE. It's not hard to chuck on a set of chaps and a $50 husky helmet and muffs.
Hi! Shaun and Graham: I've been loving your videos. I consider myself an experienced 2wd explorer. But I have been hung up on finding another set of wheels after my pickup finally gave up the ghost, after 25 years. I've been looking for another used pickup for exploring, and to carry my new off road scooter. But few used pickups have been available around here. So I thought I should broaden my search. I had heard many good things about the Jeep Cherokees, and there used to be quite a number of them in this area. But like the pickups, I hadn't seen many since I included them in my search. Then a month back or so, I spied a 1988 Jeep Cherokee. It had a decent price, and I could find no major problems. It only had 133,000 miles besides. I bought it. So now I am checking things out, seeing what all I can find that needs fixing (you wouldn't expect a 30 year old vehicle to be in perfect condition). Then I'll be equipping it with the essentials for running in the boonies. I'd been many places with my pickup, others might not choose to go. But I'm a careful driver, I don't take unnecessary chances. My aim is to have a fun trip, not spend all day digging myself out of a place I didn't want to be. Now, with the Cherokee, I don't plan to do much different. I know the Cherokee will get me places I couldn't get to in my pickup. But like I said, I'm not interested in spending the day getting myself unstuck. I spend my time trying not to get stuck. But I do expect to have fun 4Wheeling. I can't give you two all the credit for me buying a 4WD, the Cherokee just appeared at the right time when I needed a vehicle. But I did want to tell you, there is one more 4Wheeler to add to the count. Maybe I'll see you at a crossing someday. Bob Woodson Bishop, CA
Been a while since I've watched you guys. Good to see you still out & finding new tracks. While you spend so much time teaching safety, don't forget chainsaw safety while you're at it. Not just PPE, but how you use them. A chainsaw doesn't forgive if you balls it up.

Man watching you guys is a love hate relationship. Watching you guys on these awesome trail's just make me jealous lol. I don't know any good trail's where I live other than a trip to Moab. But my 4WD project has been down for years for major customization. Its awesome you guys have a good crew to go on adventures.
That isuzu blew my mind.. all the rigs are amazing.. but.. that.. seemingly stock pickup.. slaying everything.. awesome. If you guys can get the funds.. yall need to put your rigs against Alaska.

William Howard get yourself a Toyota mate, pretty sure they have four runners in US? Their good rig they will easily outlast and outperform ya average jeep, that said no one really takes jeeps offroad in Australia due to them not being that reliable in our conditions (huge distances and immense heat)
We do have excellent tracks here in the US, you just need to know where to look. We love ours here in Utah. We have great tracks all over. The closest to the Aus rain forest is back in Vermont and the east coast etc. Just get out and explore and you will fall in love with all the terrain we have. I just got back from doing the Pony Express Trail and side trails tonight. Cheers
Yeah, one can pick up a reasonably priced 4 runner with minimal mechanical and get you going down the trails. I myself love American V8 power, so I got my a low mileage 99 Ford Expedition last of the solid rear axles, locking rear diff.
Sean Butler I would liked you guys but always talking shit about jeeps, just makes you stupid. I've owned a few 4runners, not one kept running and wasn't halls the 4x4 either of my now jeeps that both have about 300k original miles btw and wheel them all the time. But then again, require more than a rolling tent where I go.
@John Diaz - you're on the spot! ... It's like when I found out with the Warren Miller videos of extreme skiers ... the camera crew were filming the extreme skiers, the crew was going backwards holding a pro camera... OMG! Hope their insurance was paid up!
I have no words for the cars that are capable for those kinds of extremely hard conditions. Specially I love those toyota cars ...You all are heroes !! We love 4WD !!

Of-course it does (wanna make me buy a 4WD). The problem is the money it costs to buy one of em bad boys, they're not exactly "cheap" here in India.....
To be fair, 4bys aren't exactly cheap anywhere. The initial purchase, perhaps, but the upgrades & maintenance? Oy vey! (and yet we have 2, 2.5 if i build the Forester haha).
I bought my 99 Ford Expedition with low miles and on the cheap, I now have more than double put into it than what I bought it for. Its what Exploring is all about and I wouldn't want it any other way. Cheers
