For the first time ever in the history of the game; for most markets it is currently better to use purple orbs transferred to platinum 5,000 orbs -> 50,000 platinum versus purple orbs 160 orbs -> 1 eternal crest -> then sell everything. In the good old days, where the market was, you could easily make 5,000 orbs equivalent, running eternal crest become 100,000 to 125,000 platinum by selling all gem drops. So the market was 2x as good as where we stand now, by running purple crest and then selling everything. The fix; just switch the currency conversion ratio so that 5,000 orbs turns into 100,000 platinum. People will clearly use this conversion method to generate platinum. They will, in turn, use the platinum to buy legendary gems or gem power rank 1stars. This will, in turn, lift market prices. This will, in turn, also have people running 10x crest more as an alternative way to make platinum since prices are rising and pretty much guarantee us to return to the old values of doing this method by stabilizing prices.
@ECHOGamingDiablo fix#2 freeze out susanbots from market. the simplest easy fix that will immediately stabilize market... you can't use market unless you are within 30 paragon levels of server paragon. Susan will never survive. any characters they spend time leveling will eventually get banned for xyz reason. they will not be able to keep up with enough active accounts that close to server paragon. with susan iced out from market; illegitimate supply is taken off market and prices stabilize
They need to raise the amount of platinum we can get in a day, raise the percentage of 5 star legendary drops in elder rifts and lower the tax when selling items. This will fix it while blizzard still gets profit.

I agree that legendary gems are very cheap, but in the region where I play EU you can't sell normal gems except sapphires (129 platinum) and aquamarines (122 platinum). Nobody buys pets from us anymore, only the cheapest ones for 500 platinum, essence of horror is hard to sell and runes too. So without buying platinum you can't collect gems from farming to buy legendary gems :(
Also EU, arcibishop lazarus server. For few last months I sell very cheap 4 pets and 1 rank 5 citrine. Use to have 2 alts to make plat to my main charakter. I make more than 50k monthly. Not anymore. Just 300 daily plat from BP... so 9000 monthly + few hundrets for few sells.
I dont think the market is crashing. I think they need put another way to get platinum. Its a great oportunity for the 2fp or midium expenser to get good gems at low cost.

DI needs to aim towards making this game a esports, thats the only future where the game can survive long ,i have seen many player leaving game guys we need some decent ground to.show our year worth of grind
I think the best way to fix the market is by some sort of buy-to-order system. Where if you want something then post your order and someone that have that item will then provide that to you in the market. They have this in warframe but kinda different where if you say “WTB(want to buy)” in trade chat someone that have your item will DM you and then you can trade by the trade house or booth.
What they are talking about is getting blizzard to add more Platinum in the game. You can buy all the crests you want, but who buys Platinum? No Platinum in the players hands that's why no one is buying anything. All the whales are maxed (that's where the Platinum came from when it was high price). Low spenders just want gems.
The proof of that its all abt the money they make on crests and plat purchase lies in the events and better rewards China has.. they have more free crests more events and well once a while the real 2xdrop event on all stuff fully for 2 days from elder rifts too not capped to 2 runs like it was for us the last time we had the joke of a 2x event
@@TenacityQ This is a deflationary economy, so adding "money" is what is needed to improve it. Your point is correct in a stable or inflationary economy where you just get "too much money chasing too few good." Here we have the opposite problem: too little money.
I mentioned this a while back. But said an npc should just be available to buy items at their lowest value available with taxes too. Skip the market completely.
Depending on the gem you can geht three for the price of one in the past, now. It is so sad, i spent my 500k two months ago. :( The last bottled hope were 65k, 25k now. And some trashgems are at 18k.
The hack the Susan bots use is that they buy crests, run rifts (as a bot which is why they just leave to get rewards in mail with minimal human interaction), sell gems, then transfer platinum to paying customer via buying max expensive familiar. Then they refund their CC and their bot account gets banned but they don’t care cuz they’ve already achieved their goal

hi mr Echo .we saw the market place on your server the prices are low .but ask anyone from europe's cathan server about prices ... and u still have a way to earn anthing . on Cathan blood soake jade and the newest 5* gem with criticals are the only two you can sell higher than 16 k . the merge gave us @ll the players only the economy purge
1)Susan bots sell gems into the market for lowest price. (buy gems then refund through cc) 2) Susan Bot owner will list their pets at maximum price then their Susan bots will buy them. prevent low levels or ranks from buying pets & trace whoever susan bots bought their pets then banned them. MArket Fixed!
That would make Susan's job easier, because they could just transfer items to specific people easily. Now, if you're talking about transfer between characters on the same account, that would be great for me and my alts.

The problems are a direct result of drastically reducing the platinum in the system: deflation. More platinum is needed to correct that. They already have max prices on everything in the Marketplace, so if they overdo the correction it will just lead to shortages once the max price is reached (i.e. the way it used to be).
The market prices have been getting so bad that items are starting to become unsellable. For example, when I tried to sell a legendary familiar I had. The market had them for around 4k platinum but, I was only able to sell mine for 8k platinum and because of this people are likely to not buy it do to the average market value being so low.
I also think they should allow the sale of conversions stones. Selling a familiar for 80k (price margins are bonkers) cuz it has all rare skills for someone to just buy and destroy is absurd. Let us destroy and sell stones individually. People will be able to reroll familiars easier and 80% of familiars will leave market.
This suggested fix from fuzzy would work for pets as this market is dead as shit and blizzard seems not to intend improving or simplifying pet system and now Everyone is sitting on 200k platinum min price pets
The problem is that bots already drained nearly the whole amount of platinum out of the market. Fix is combination of 3 actions: a) stop bots, b) also lower platinum prices in their store and c) improve bonuses from pet system + simplify the system. By doing this bots and cheap copies will vanish and people will start collecting platinum - willing to spend this platinum for normal priced gems or improved pets
I sold all of mine for 400 each a few weeks ago in one bunch. Even tourmaline. I don’t sell ruby’s or the armor ones as I use those. I just keep them up until they sell.
Guys cmon, super easy solution to market issues: Use the orbs that Bliz sends you for kissing the ring to buy marketable crests, that way when you cry about quitting the diablo channel, or how u only got 7 , five star gems from a 100 crest run, you simply sell the essentially free gems u cant use on the market and boom, plenty of plat, and now with rates so low, u can buy the gems u need, make us another, "look what i got and am upgrading blah blah" video, and problem solved!
Economies are all about goods and currency.... Prices are driven by demand and/or volume of these... The problem with DI is that currency (plat) volume so low that it creates a low demand for everything. Thus prices go down down down. We need a new fresh source of platinum. Aside from the 300 plat we get daily, the only other fresh plat option is buying from the store. Who buys plat from the store? Whales. Most whales now have maxed out their spending or characters that they dont buy plat anymore.... As such, no fresh plat, no market movement. Crash. We need a new fresh source of plat in game!
Is it possible the "Susan bots" or those running them, have figured out a way to determine their gem drop in the beginning of the rift, then bail when they notice no 5* is going to drop? Rinse and repeat.
The issue is that you can't get 10k plat per day farming. If you could, I'd be doing that. Because normal gems have dropped in price so much (rubies literally down to 0, because they don't sell at all), I'm making less than half the plat I used to make by selling normal gems. And before anyone says, "You get half the plat, but things cost half as much, so what's the problem?", remember that things in game like reforge stones, crest merchant, echo crystals, and awakening slots are all at fixed values. Also, the platinum earning potential is limited even more by the fact that almost nobody is buying pets anymore, except as a way to transfer platinum from one character to another, so that entire income stream has dried up.
I'm going to hold off buying anything in game or spending anymore dollars in game, this bad market will kill the new player base , so I can only see this ending the game, and let's face facts Blizzard isn't going to fix this because people are still spending in game, Ban together stop all purchases for a week all servers and see how fast they will fix everything that has been totally ignored by them
Just was temporarily banned from immortal about 30 mins ago. Im playing on iPad Pro and use ps5/ps4 controllers. No idea why i was banned. I just started playing this game in last 2 weeks.
Yeah I know. They are only a $5 battle pass skin. Butt. Come on, put a little more. Try into it. Yeah I'm still going to pay the $5 and collect it. But I'm more into the demon type skins. And all the skins we have been getting here lately are all looking the same. Give barbarian a hardcore demon skin. That I can afford. The phantom market skins are making me cry. I want that Anubis skin so bad. But I just don't have money like that to drop 170. some odd dollars. For a pretty picture on my phone.😢
There is indeed no bug. This is what susan bots do. They got fresh accounts, will get to level to use elder rifts, buy a bunch of orbs with a creditcard or something alike, refund it ASAP while they get their plat. Account gets locked due to negative orbs but by this time the gems already sold / are transfered over by buying items in market on other accounts. That's why it's all listed at 16k, they need to get their stuff before blizzard get their lock in for the refund.
I wish they would fix the four party gem drop in dungeons. It’s never been easy to get gems that way and I understand that terror rifts are better blah blah blah and I do them for that reason but why make it so difficult to get freaking normal gems in dungeons? Everyone needs wisps so we have to do dungeons. I have done about 17-25 dungeons a day forever and once in a great while that will get me all my normal gems. But mostly I am lucky if I get 1-5 out of all of those. BS! 😵💫
I don't think that would solve the problem. I think they should give us more control over pricing and stop taxing us. I have been trying to sell an abhorrent companion that the market says should sell for almost 2 million platinum with a minimum price of 480k. I have had it listed at minimum for 3 months now. I have seen 2 or 3 others pop up on the market at the same price and after talking to those players they are having the same issue. More control of pricing and stop taxing us for God's sake you take enough of our money stop doubling down and taking even more.
Equity economics, where they only allow the lowest gem to be sold can only hurt the economy. This drops everyone to the lowest common denominator. Before this ridiculous move to only sell the lowest one, I could sell my gems and make platinum. Now it is very difficult. I work at a DIY retail store. I have noticed that the DIY ppl check prices and are frugal. The pros come in and buy what they need, regardless of price. We no longer have pros in game. The pros in the game have to wait in line and hope they can get it. This hurts everyone in the end. I loved playing the market. It is dead now. It is better to buy orbs and convert to platinum.
They should fix the lag , fps drops in party (PC) ... There are so many things they should fix but first i want some decent gameplay , for a infinite $$$ company this is sad srsly
Basic gems besides blues just sit in my market for 100 each without selling every because there's thousands offered. been back for 3 weeks and have not sold a single basic gem besides blues, they have been in there since i came back (3 weeks). How am i supposed to make 10k plat a day by literately only selling aqua and sapphire for 150 each.
So let me understand. The market is not dead it is just low. It’s better to buy platinum using orbs. It’s a buyer’s market and you can farm 10 000 platinum a day to buy cheap gems every other day. Ok then.
Doesnt he mean normal gems? I cant sell any, same with runes. They are taken off the market before its my turn so to speak. His idea is great for this.
We can't farm plat, normal gems in my server are 100 except blue (~150 lol), so no, we cant farm plat in a meaningful way like before. Its too slow its not worth the time
Lets be honest the market is dead for f2p players. I used to raise almost 16k plat in a week now it takes a month or more .only gems that are selling are sapphire and aqua at 150, everything else is at 100 and not selling. I dont even bother doing dungeons for gem drops anymore
Whales should get a large refund. Susan is Blizzard getting every single player hooked on 5* gems. They will make bank and BG is fixed because we all are whales. The casino is guarded tightly and they made this mess to fix their mess.

Lot of talk about fixing a game that hardly anyone is playing anymore. Sat last post in clan chat aprox 3:30 am next post Sat 6:20 pm. I felt the clan was dying or dead switch clans surprise surprise same thing.
Hey man, all your complaining about the market to make prices higher is going to screw people that are trying to upgrade their gems. You are only complaining about the position you are playing in. People upgrading are happy.
