What everyone in this comment section doesn't understand that he's playing completely appropriately for this style of music. And just because he's playing like this doesn't mean he cannot play differently in another setting.
You guys should go easy. He is obviously an early teenager. He will groom discipline later. He is extremely skillful. You can all forgive the excess rolls.
He is thrilling his audience and that is the essence of performance. I am sure he knows what he is doing and will do it differently in a different setting. The most important thing i see is that he never lost the tempo with all the syncopations and over quantized rolls. Abeg free him.

Started playing drum when I was 9years old. Very good wen it comes to High life, Ariaria, makossa beating aka calipso. I became more enhanced on calipso wen I started buying makossa cassette with inspiration from Koffi Olomide, baba Wemba, extra musica, and fally ipupa, and awilo. There beating were top notch,bringing those beating to church setting, it was superb, no try am. Expecially wen the bass, leading and keyboardist are not old serious men una go flow well
