I love how people always talk about bad PC ports, but when games like RE4 Remake PC port was the best version, those same people stay quiet.

Ever since I switched to pc, the amount of money I’ve spent on games has DWINDLED for two reasons. 1. Games often go on sale. 2. I have literally so many more options for games to play that I simply cannot justify spending $70 on AAA games unless it’s something I’m really looking forward to.

These guys have been using a few ports to try to destroy the entire system, it doesn’t work, why drive home how much you don’t know over and over again

I remember debunking when meet with "what's PC gaming" while not being a primary PC gamer yet all the way back in like 2013 or so in HS was shocking. now i run into fellow PC gamers or console gamers were all doing the same thing. Now, a PC only gamer after playing Warframe, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Phantoms (a old PC game) & MW2 (2009) and CS Source on a laptop way back i play it all now with a growing library of games on mainly steam, the EGS freebies cause why not and GOG's free games from prime gaming on twitch and or from random giveaways they do and *NO PAID ONLINE!* a few bad ports is no issue but we expect better for AAA games how on earth these console gamers don't comprehend that!

Ive switched to PC gaming, and pretty much dropped console gaming all together. I never chased AAA games, and did not miss them when I built my first PC 6 years ago. No reason to even turn my console on, or to buy the latest consoles. They're junk!

Interesting that you mentioned Capcom's excellent ports of their games. They recently recorded their best ever financials. Imagine that ... releasing quality products earns you a lot of money? Shocker 😮

To get a little anecdotal here, the PC gaming is broken point is plain silly Even today, yes, I had a BSOD (cause Windows 11 was being Windows 11), but that was *one* BSOD in like 6 months of otherwise uninterrupted peaceful gaming And even before that, yes, I had a rampant BSOD issue, but you wanna know what the problem was? A bad RAM kit. A simple $50 replacement. Would you look at that? A potential problem has been fixed of my own accord

Got a PS4 years ago, a year after that i upgraded my pc and never booted up my console again especially after the PS4 exclusive games came to steam, sold the console few months ago and used the money to upgrade my pc once more, i will NEVER buy a console ever again because im very happy with indie games and the ability to mod my games and cant stand AAA games anyway anymore

Another thing. If you buy a game on steam and it's shit, you can refund it. Don't waste the refund window hopping that it will get better. Just get your money back and buy it when it's on sale or it's been fixed. I used to be a console gamer. Last year after I sold my ps4 pro and xbox series s I bought a lenovo legion 5 laptop. I know i know a laptop. But my god when I first got into ets 2 and played it at like 100 or more fps, I almost cried. It was so good and smooth. It felt better, more responsive and fast. I have a 1080p 165 hz screen on the laptop so I can see the extra frames. And now i don't want a console anymore. They feel restricted in terms of games and power. Currently I am saving money to build a pc, never looking back to consoles again. Wanted to buy a ps5, but got a steam deck. I am using it to play mostly indie games and emulators.

As someone who was a switch only user for 4 years, I dont really care about performance that much. But trying to argue that consoles are better than pc is stupid.

I seriously can't stand console bootlickers, they make every possible excuse to justify playing on a kneecapped system that couldn't/can't deliver on it's promises . I've been pc gaming for the last 12 years, and I can tell you now that I've had a way more enjoyable experience on pc compared to my PS5. With modding being my main point as well as my fully backwards compatible list of over 300 games that I don't have to wait 5 years for the developers to make them forwards compatible, or make a remake that costs $50-$80 (They do still exist though). I can literally play ANY game all the way back to the year 2000 and know that I will have very few issues, most of/all of which can be solved with mods.

Talking about Capcom, Capcom said they want PC to be their main platform for games in the future. PC Gamer has the story about it.

I'm starting to realize that I don't really get people who play new AAA games at all, especially on consoles. We might both be gamers, but I don't really understand the mentality of somebody who elects to invest in what is essentially a toy with a limited shelf life and hamstrung capabilities. Imagine paying $70 for redfall instead of seven copies of crab champions

To understand the console peasant I always think of them as someone who's been inside a box their whole life, the outside world with all its possibilities and freedoms is alien to them, some are scared of it, they feel comfy inside the box, even if this box lacks basic stuff we take for granted. So you might give them an outside tour and they might fake they understand it but they don't, they panic, they feel helpless, and all they think about is getting back into their box.

My 2070 super runs better than most of my ps5 games and look better. Idk what this guy is talking about 🤣 and I haven’t had to upgrade because I don’t really care for raytracing.

I still don't get his arguement about "Your screwed if you bought a game and it performs badly", I can get a refund as long we didn't play over 2 hours of the game. Most of PC gamers are a pretty patient bunch of people and they don't mind waiting a few months or so for a game to get better. I waited a near whole year to buy Cyberpunk 2077 because I didn't want to have a broken experience.

couple things, we should demand games launch fully working and tuned for both platforms. second thing is that the current gen consoles have very performant hadware, actually higher spec than most PCs. there is no real good reason games should not be running at high frame-rates on both PS5 and Series X

I love PC because I have the option to run games however I want. I built it in 2017 but upgraded to a RX 5700 XT two years ago. I also don't want to buy a 4k TV right now. I still think 1080p looks great so I'll be able to use my PC to run modern games for a while.

After getting a PC I haven't touched my PS5 once. I'll go back to console for FF16 & Spider-Man 2 but besides that i've preferred everything more on PC.

60 fps is not a modern standard for games. The atari 2600 came out in 1977 and ran games at 60 fps. So it is really the standard since the 70s.

Im pretty new to pc gaming, and pc's in general. I bought a pre built gaming pc from Amazon and although im normally just playing games that are console ports or emulated games (because I don't have a ps4 anymore and im not getting a ps5) like ff7r, persona5 etc. But im still enjoying the fact i can play those games on 60 fps with decent graphics with persona5 at 120 fps. And if a port comes out kinda janky on pc and it doesn't get patched, sooner or later modders usually help to fix the issues. So i think im going to buy a better gaming computer so i can handle games on higher graphic settings. (Mostly because i know very little about computer specs except for ram, ssr memory, and barely graphics cards) and maybe later on i can look for pc games that fit my tastes, and have controller support since i cant use a keyboard to save my life😅

To clearify, I´m a pc gamer since 2006 and back than my standard was 85fps for my 85Hz CRT. And was that dude actually talking about 4K gaming on a pc while having a freaking 3050?

I cant believe people are STILL arguing over whats better. (Its PC by far) Yeah yeah PC master race but there are so many more benefits to PC gaming than console.

I’ve been playing games since the Atari 2600 and Commodore 64. I’m sorry but PC Centric was totally on point. In fact the only part I felt was BS was his whole speel at the end about how PC gaming is great because of mods and joysticks. Right now is objectively the worst time for PC gaming in the nearly 40 years I’ve been gaming on both platforms. It’s this PC master race BS that keeps enabling Nvidia, AMD, and Intel to just keep trickling out tiny performance gains and cost cutting measures for more and more money. It’s literally gotten so bad they’ve actually started skimping on materials and relying on things like frame insertion and upscaling to provide these marginal improvements. You literally need to spend double the cost of a console just to get equal performance on a PC. PC is better obviously, but not by a whole lot and it costs way too much right now. Consoles are at least in a pretty competitive place right now. Denying these facts just enables these hardware manufacturers to gouge the diehard PC enthusiasts while slowly killing PC gaming.

3:00 hilariously, im at a desperation point that the BARE minimum "Fidelity Mode" should achieve for "next gen" consoles is 40fps because that feels way better than 30fps lol... its insane that none of the devs consider this at all and still stuck at 30fps five generations in lmao..

Consoles still struggle to play games at even 30fps which is disgusting but nah. 4 or 5 games from the 10s of thousands being poorly optimized means the platform sucks.

Something no console peasant will ever understand is that sometimes, the fact that very occasionally, a game not playing nice with your setup and having to figure it out is part of the appeal. People who know what they're doing even on a basic level with a PC know that it'll only ever be a fairly short list of issues and is usually easy to troubleshoot. Figuring the issue out is very satisfying. I can't speak on crappy PC ports because I don't play AAA games, too many great indie titles to waste my time with trash.

idk man say i play fort for example in 1440p 120hz on my ps5 it gonna run the exact same at 1080p 120hz or 4k120. fps stays the same, wont do that on the pc. so therefore i can buy a 1440p 240z hdmi 2.1 monitor and still get the same performance sometimes even better because of resolution increase rather than on my old 1080p 144hz monitor. so what im saying is performance stays the same in 120hz no matter what monitor u use unless the game itself doesnt support that resolution in 120hz

There were some shitty ports therefore PC bad. Nah man, therefore company bad. Bad industry practices should be called out no matter what they occur, even when they don't affect you personally, because they affect the industry as a whole. For example, Cyberpunk being unplayable on a console it was released for has no effect on me, but I still bring it up, because it's one of the most outrageous ways a company fucked over their customers. "you have to constantly upgrade your PC" gets on my nerves, because nobody who knows shit about PCs says that. Being able to upgrade your components is the ADVANTAGE. If you want to improve your PC performance you can look at what is lacking and buy the specific component and sell the old one. If you want to improve your console performance you have to buy a whole new console. You can sell the old one, but you might as well sell the games for it, because unlike PC, backwards compatibility is ass.

What new games are worth buying a console for this gen? Like let's be honest, a lot of these new triple a releases were kind of a let down. You've got what... God of War Ragnarok?

My rig is about 11 years old and i jusr put new ram and a graphics card and a third ssd in. Runs better than any console.

you don't buy consoles for 60fps we where also conned into we got raytracing fast enough.

I still think this is an industry problem. There should NOT be any PC port. Games should be made as PC games, and then ported to consoles like they were back then.

People who buy pre-built PCs are all like this. They have no idea that what they've bought is a super-powerful console full of ads and spyware. Yes, you have issues. Yes, those issues are your fault. Learn to actually use the machine before you call yourself a "PC Gamer." I'd bet money his free Norton installation is what caused 75% of his issues, with the other 25% being shoddy build quality and user error.

I gotta hand it to console players, if they're cracked at shooter games, it means they have insane skill. My aim on PC was trash until I got a 144hz monitor and capable PC to run at 144fps. Omg it was so much easier to land shots. Even more so at 240hz.

It's so funny. I bought TLoU day one and it ran fine. Having 10+ gb of vram and boom, locked 60 fps. Guarantee you it was more enjoyable there than on ps5. And now that it can run well on 8 gb cards, steam is th place to buy this game.

I know this might be a stupid question, but I genuinely don't know and I'm curious. Does fps matter is single player games? I only play PvP shooters like apex, WZ, fortnite, etc. And I know fps is super important for those type of games. But I always thought that gamers who play games like hogwarts legacy, the last of us, cyberpunk, etc. would care more about an immersive picture quality over fps. But am I wrong?

I'm not saying this about you, I'm saying it about the guy in the video you are watching. But to me, it sounds like he's the type of person who has a mid-range PC and tries to turn up the graphics settings to max or ultra and complains that the performance is crap. And doesn't realize that with mid-tier gaming PCs you have to lower the settings. And not to mention that most times ultra settings are dumb anyway because high looks just as good 99% of the time. Heck, I have a 7900 XTX and a 5950 x and even I don't turn my settings up to ultra most times. And even when I had a 3080 with only 10 GB of VRAM playing far cry 6. The game would consistently stutter. Do you know what fixed it? Buying a card with 16 GB of VRAM. And that's just one aspect of PCs that most console gamers don't want to do. Most console gamers don't want to put in the required research to have a decent gaming experience. I will admit that it's not for everyone but if you don't at least do some research into what type of gaming PC you need for The games that you play you're going to have a bad time. Because all they are used to is just plug and play. The hardest thing to learn about PCs is all the stupid naming schemes that all the companies have for their products. Past that it's pretty much adult Legos. Even then there are plenty of RU-vidrs who can simplify the learning process and get you started on knowing just enough to have a great gaming experience without having to be an expert. And to be clear. I'm not putting down those who have anything other than top end PCs. I'm just saying that a little research goes a long way.

Am gona speak as someone who own all platforms at the same time There isnt really one better then other its just what you like in a video game thats gona make it the best I play 90% on ps5 mainly cause i play only solo games i never touched a multi or coop game 10% of the time i play on pc for modding From my experiance with all platforms Playstation is best experiance for solo games (mainly for their exclusive games) Pc is best for online and tryharding obviously for the performance Xbox is the best the services they offer Switch is good for family games ,indie games or if u too old and nostalgic (just kidding but its true) Of course all am talking about is about day one when game isnt bugy of course for solo exclusive games if u wait for them a year or 2 after release to be on pc it will be the best experiance but i for one dont need 120fps on solo game so i play day one But still each platform is good depending on what u play for

10:46 "the world's most powerful console, Xbox Series X" kinda sick of this misconception. the XSX isnt the most powerful tho, yes it was advertised to be before it launched, but this was before sony revealed the PS5 specs weeks later. since then MS removed all ads having that powerful console saying because it was literally be false advertising. so PS5 is stronger then XSX, not by much (lol) but it is.

Pc will always be better it just seems like at that time period the games dropping on pc were getting bad ports or just buggy. Btw after reading the comments yeah the 3050 is cheeks and lowkey that’s probably why my experience been mid. My fault. 🫣
