The A6M5 Ko Zero was once considered to be one of the most dangerous aircraft to face in Air realistic battles in War Thunder. Its incredible turn time, decent armament and nimbleness made it a beast against mid-tier aircraft back in the day, but is it still as fearsome now? In today's video, with fly out the A6M5 Ko Zero to see if it still has that spark.

Playing with the Zeros are a lot of fun, unfortunately the reliance on turnfighting kind of handicapped my ability to know how to energy fight...something everyone else has time to learned about by the time I'm force to adapt comes Rank IV+

As a zero player i recommend fighting head on if you can because we have no armor and use your speed to out run a zero because you have no chance in a turn fight and try to get up high to dive on a zero take them by surprise

Trapping enemies with the Zero is exactly how i play it. Ill put myself into a position where i appear to be either not paying attention (eg flying straight) and let people take dives at me, go into a shallow dive to get a little bit more speed, then as they get close throw her into a sharp turn and dive, then reverse it when they pass me and take shots as they climb/die away. Timing it well theyll maybe be .20-.30 meters away by the time i get guns on and thats all you really need. I ground out from about 3.0 to all three R2Y2s just doing that (rumour mill was going they were to be removed "Soon" tm), wound up with several 7 or 8 kill games and a LOT of salty 109, 190 and Yak players, it was great!

you're not wrong, i want nothing to do with any zeros on a match. whenever i see one, i always steer away or sometime force a head on if im confident enough with my plane.

That intro was sick, as someone that's still learning Air RB and has only been spading the American tree anything Japan throws at me is terrifying at mid tier. Great video.

7:51 I honestly think so too. Like, for example, at 3.0 you may get p-51 c-10s that fly at 600kph (372 mph) and Re.2001 that fly at a maximum speed of 531kph (329mph). And I mean, if u end up in maps like Spain or other enormous ones, by the time you get there the match is ended, either you win or lose. So maybe larger matchmakings can be a positive thing.

air battles look so fun but the maps are sooooooo big, i dont want to spend 15 minutes flying just to see an enemy and get shot down the second i see someone and have to do it all over again its boring
