I’m so inspired by thom Browne! No one has done anything resembling this since Alexander McQueen!!! Amazing!! I love all the visuals and art. I bet it was so fun to be on his design team and work in the atelier.
YET AGAIN !!! The house of Thom Browne has done it again ! They are one of the best houses for fashion, constantly injecting new ideas, without losing what we love about the house. ❤❤❤
Magical!! Edward Scissorhands meets Narnia and gives birth to surreal winter. There are several winter coats in the collection that I would really love to own. ❤❤❤
The black coat with the white roses is beautiful! Loved that the doggies matched the footwear and luggage with that strange green plastic like material. The white coat with the outlined black birds was great, too! Love the "egg" dresses - the way the line flowed out from just above the breast all the way down to the narrow ankle. And the poufy skirt with birds and green metallic pieces.
An arctic nightmare. Browne always puts on an eye-catching show. But as for wearability? Not so much. Perhaps Browne does runway just to generate buzz about his design house. Even toned down for the consumer market, I cannot see much that is wearable here.
He takes my breath away yet again! He UNDERSTANDS fashion.. wow! he is such an inspiration. He is a gem in the fashion industry and the world needs to recognize that
At the end, they should have had the big black jacket fall off the Goliath scarecrow goth giant on stilts revealing a surprise outfit of the absurD-itY! ; )
Omg I’m blown away. Completely enthralled with this aesthetic creepy but can’t look away the silver platform boots gliding along and the perfect creepy music.
quite possibly the most polarizing designer of our time, seems like people either really love it or hate it. Art is subjective and I think thom is amazing.
The garments are excellent and complex - superb tailoring & fabrics. i don't think the theatricality is necessary. We don't leave in utopian lands & stages. Customers will walk around in an everyday life - doing whatever they are doing. The complexity - & beauty - of the clothes speaks for itself
He wants to do what’s he wants it his money but does it mean we need yo love it, He’s the man who wears children clothing all his life so please don’t take it seriously 😂😂😂
This was visually delicious.. Its haunting and harsh but delicate foot prints in the snow.. Its like dracula meets the secret garden.. Its beautiful and terrifying, like me😂😂.. Magnificent, magnificent!! 😊🐰🔵🌍🎉❤
Furthermore to my previous comments. The clothes are great but I do feel that they are becoming repetitive & boring - beside the great technical quality - & the creativity is stuck .
There's definitely a Tim Burtonesque feel to this presentation. However, if you strip away the theatrics and focus on the clothing, there are probably as least a few pieces that could be wearable. I would imagine that most of the customers for this brand will buy one or two items and wear them with other things to neutralize the look. Though I can't imagine too many women wanting to look like stuffed pumpkins. This look is definitely not for the street. The fact that the models walk so slowly tells me that the clothing actually impedes their movement. I think one of the pitfalls of gay men designing clothing for women is that they never understand what it's like to wear anything they produce. I watched this video as part of New York fashion week, which followed right after watching the collection of Carolina Herrera. The two labels are like night and day from each other, and though a young man is now at the creative helm at CH, he's perfectly channeled the design aesthetic of his mentor.
Just watch the show again there were definitely some fantastic pieces and some ridiculous things especially the bubble dresses and why would they ridiculous because they didn’t have enough edge to them. It was all far too strict.
👁️🖤these presentations You become transported to somewhere Els Boulevard Between It's possible and so it shall be done Right next door to GTFOH‼️🕵️🕵️🕵️🕵️🕵️🕵️🕵️🕵️🕵️ You can't miss it🤗🥰 That giant was quite creepy g°°d with children coming out from underneath 👍 The only thing missing was the clown from IT wearing TB head2toe like yeah bishhhh What‼️🤪 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 ,👁️🖤Th.B
To me one of the most over rated designers. He began with a schtick and it continues. His shows are theatrical because, in the end, these pieces separated from the "mood" would look so less interesting....and repetitive season after season.
Pieces were nice but put together was creepy and weird it was like that big ass statue of stuff was watching the people and they were afraid to do anything out of the routine and the kids coming out of that statue of stuff was weird I like individual pieces but put together it’s a NO FOR ME 🙅🏽♀️
on a surface level, it may seem that way but his technique is evolving especially after that couture show in July . Also every brand has a foundation they build upon, Thom’s is suits and he creates around that
