In an interview, Yorke exclaimed at how little complexity is in "Dawn Chorus" but the interviewer said that it still made him burst into tears on his way home from work. Truly genius and covered by a piano playing genius ♥️

Thom still releasing top 10 material so far into his career. Dawn Chorus is one of the best songs he's done, Radiohead included.

This piece seems to me one of the most wonderful of Thom. It is as complex as it is simple. I smell Erik Satie, at the same time that I smell a constant memory of an ending that I haven't lived yet. The melody breaks me into pieces in such a sweet and beautiful way that it is inevitable for me to cry every time I listen to the song. Thanks, great performance.

I can’t explain the way this melody makes my heart move.

I just wanted to say 3 years ago this piece came into my life when I needed it most. Things were so uncertain and scary. And then this showed up and brought me such comfort and peace. It's a mediation. It's tension and release. I sobbed. It's so beautiful and simple. It's melancholy and oddly hopeful, exactly the way I was feeling. I still cry listening to it. It's a gift and I just wanted to say thank you for it. It's very special and I love it.

I have listened to this at least 100 times. It's so beautiful. Thom Yorke reimagined by you makes for something amazing.

Mr. Cohen, Oh how you have shot right through my heart with this. In a way that I am so drawn to. Thank you. *BRAVO!* This is the only version I can listen to now. The pain of losing the love of my life 15 years ago never goes away. The first time I heard Dawn Chorus on Anima, I was walking my dog and suddenly it was as if [he] died that morning. I hit the ground sobbing. My dog hugged me as he always does when I am sad and licks my tears. Which of course, makes me laugh. I wish I had held [him] more. Had one more "I love you, I'm sorry, it's okay... and... let me know when you've had enough of the dawn chorus." _I miss you Dad. Every day. 26 years was not enough time. I have been lost without you. I am so sorry you had to die. I cry every day in secret._ edit: I am coming back a week later. Thom's version is too hard. I know the words anyway. This song is about cancer and it being okay to let go.
