Thomas 3D Animation Test | CGI Thomas Render 

I am really impressed with you that you did this one scene in CGI, and it paid off pretty well.

His Voice is Legendary, but with animation makes it even more legendary!! He is the Thomas we need!!

The CGI Thomas just dropped only about a week ago and it’s incredible what people are already doing with it!

Hey Caleb, this is a really solid attempt. I'm by no means an old vet to the Thomas world but I did work on half a season of this show and worked for two of the studios that worked on the show. One small piece is adding a subtle "noise" animation to thomas's main body car. Not enough to notice outright but it helps add that sense of the little bumps, rumbles, etc. Grounds it and adds a bit more of a chunky, engineered, metal feel. It was very much part of the show rules anytime they were going at a good speed. I see you graduated a couple years back. Congrats and welcome to the biz and thanks for the Thomas love. Saw your video on the CGI transition that piqued my interest. Good video! ps... small fun fact; the ol' "files got corrupted" from one studio to the other can be multiple things. Sometimes, yep, just corrupted. It happens. Much of the time files are backed up through many servers and it can be that the new studio doesn't want to be pinned down by the old tech or has proprietary tools that would work in their pipeline better, etc. I can't say what actually happened there but it's a fairly common thing in my experience in the industry. Not bad at all. Also, it was very genius of you to use a filmed model sequence as your reference. I wonder if the team at Nitrogen, Arc, or Jam Filled ever did that besides analyzing the original television models.

Without exaggeration Caleb, this looks light years better than whatever happened to the animation for the show when BWBA began, absolutely fab! Also the VA for Thomas is honestly perfect, and sounds like the right blend between Joseph May and Martin Sherman, at least to me!

I got to say great animation, but all the same when the leaked cgi Thomas prop was leaked online i got to say it was the best thing that happened and it not like Mattel need it anymore.

Looking back, I honestly doubt that this was the real Cgi model of Thomas. Like how did it even get leaked exactly? It looks good don’t get me wrong but I don’t think there is enough information to really confirm that this was the real thing.
