Best thinks out of Japan is these Thomas toys and BABYMETAL. Yep it's small but hell it's awesome. XtremeTrainz have you noticed the huge problems Hornby are in. Their share price has collapsed (just like Mattel). Their big loss was early 2016. So I'm wondering what's pulling down all the toy town companies. It's weird to see although TOMY has a share price going through the roof. Hasbro are also doing quite well. Piston appreciation..LOL
I think the way markets seems to work has been rather interesting, though Hasbro seems to have turned themselves around by making toys that appeal to kids and adults, whereas Mattel has locked down on the younger (and larger) demographic... time will tell I suppose!
Its sad how the 2017 ones are just reboots with a different face. There is no other new things except some rolling stock. Not to mention how expensive they are. Then again they have fantastic detailing on them along with how small and compact they are its pretty easy to set it up at home without causing any big inconviences.
Considering how great these items are I don't know what else could have been changed, apart from the faces. And many people didn't get the old ones (Amazon wasn't around then) so on eBay the old ones are 2-5x the price the new ones are... I think it's great they've brought them back!
