The steep hill was a tall vertical mountain that is as tall as your morning wood when you wake up in the morning. But as Sir Topham Hatt and James reached the crest top of the hill, there was a long steep drop that the tracks went to. James said he wanted to go down, but Topham Hatt disagreed. "Then there was trouble."

I like how we don't even know the context of this very bizarre and unsettling trip. It's like James just said "let me take you somewhere" and the Fat Controller was just like "okay".
He was used for the videos on the Cameraman of Sodor channel. We have yet to see him in an upcoming Thomas and Secret video, though, along with Edward and Henry (and Emily, maybe)
