Here's a guy who takes his job VERY seriously. You can tell Thomas holds his work, and the work of others to very high standards. No bullshit with him, that's really cool and inspiring! Godless was incredible. (And then on the flip side you see his FACE when the interviewer says "we saw you recently in Star Wars" and THERE'S NO HIDING THAT FANBOY.)
I loved this interview. I'm so used to seeing Thomas in interviews with the Maze Runner cast and he never speaks. I don't know if it's because the others speak over him or if he is happy to sort of disappear. But I liked actually hearing what he has to say!
Elaine I think he's just naturally a more reserved, quiet person and when he's with the maze runner cast in a room with strong personalities (ex Dylan 😂😂) he's more happy to sit back and let them joke around. But I agree, it's nice to listen to an interview with him talking and listening to the great things he has to say
Me too ya they edge him out this is awesome!! Such an interesting actor love his voice & what he’s saying love it love him is awesome in queens gambet on Netflix newest project looked hot in it saw it last week!.... gonna watch it again ! lol 👍🇺🇸💯❤️🔥😻
That little smile when he talks about his wish to play a baddie. 😂💕 I love watching interviews with him. He is so smart and thoughtful and his voice and way to talk...😍 And usually, I don't like it when men have such long hair but it suits him so well.
For what it's worth all these years later. Thomas, just have to tell you I appreciate your skill learning the accent and the body "English" that goes with it. In the 80's I was a very green cow hand on a ranch in California. I worked for a man who was a 5th generation California rancher from a family that came West from Tennessee in the 1860's. Next time you see your dialect coach thank him for "Saturdy"
Aw no comedy? I think Thomas would be good in a comedy movie, I mean the challenge would be him being funny the whole time. I don’t know how funny he is but that would be cool!
Ive just finished watching the show and I loved it. He played a very believable character, I really thought - yeah, such young man could have lived in those times.
Okay this was an amazing interview. He so serious and passionate about his roles and acting. He's very clever and hilarious in a classy and beautiful way. I love listening to his voice and his interesting views on various topics. That was a great interview and the interviewer really got him to speak and open up, in so many interviews he's just quiet next to his extroverted costars from TMR but he has so many interesting things to say. Loved his smile when Star Wars was mentioned. He always plays very interesting and complex characters and knowing that he chooses them because of acting them is a challenge to him and it evokes his passion is so great and I think that's the reason he's so great in all his roles
Thomas after playing a cowboy: 18:26 "That's the kick, it's to be scared and to be challenged [by new acting roles]. And to go oh, wow, can I even pull this off, can I do this?" Thomas's next role: A cowboy, who plays chess What a different role, a cowboy. (And the same director) What a challenging and scary role, playing chess. Hahahahaha I'm just kidding of course😅 I love Thomas, and he's a great actor! I also love chess, it's a great game. I often get mad when it's portrayed badly in film, but the Queen's Gambit did a phenomenal job. It's also hard to do an acting gig about a game, which you don't understand, so massive props to Thomas for that too!
the fact that he won't to play in such romcom movie is a bit dissapointing me yet making me proud of his idealism. he's truly passionate in what he's doing
Georgia Archdall back when he was younger, he played sam in love actually and they were around the same age. he also played a character of the same age in nanny mcphee, but i think that’s all
I feel like Thomas started unconciously copying the interviewer's mannerisms as the interview went on. He started gesticulating more in a "feminine" way, and at the end, he even turned his head the same way the interviewer started the whole thing. I'm not an expert or anything but it was quite interesting to watch😅
From speaking of Thomas's wrong age guesses, and them Game of Thrones: He was 23 when his scenes in Game of Thrones... He played a 13 year old teenager boy in G O T
Too young to go into the mines? La Belle is a small town....a lot of small towns in the late 1800's were very relaxed on the laws passed by Congress and pushed by the National Child Labor Committee. Not only were these laws less enforced in small mining towns ("patch towns"), but the mining companies wanted more kids working in the mines and breakers because they could pay the kids less. Families would lie about the ages of the kids because a lot of the families needed the extra money the kids would bring (which, in the late 1800's, was about $0.60 a day). But then again, this is New Mexico, and not Pennsylvania, which is what my information is specific about.
You gotta be Shitting me!!! I go on Netflix to find this show "Godless" and it's not F ing there!!!!!!😡😡😫😭😭😭😭 every single time I hear of a show on Netflix that has Thomas in it, I'm always to late!😭😭
Well...... You can actually binch godless quiet good... Only 7 episodes about 40 min. to 1.15 h. long and you don't have that excitement in every episode though evry episode is interesting. Just not in that way where you're like : Oh my god the fight's about to start/end etc. It's also less tiring to binch godless due to the change of characters, like one time you're with Roy on the ranch and the other time you're with Mary in La Belle
orla x I noticed it on the video where him and the cast of TMR were trying to explain TMR in 30 seconds or something and I've seen him do it in another one but I can't remember which one.. it's adorable!! Every time I think he can't get any cuter he does something cuter!!
It was my first time seeing him do that and I've seen alot of his interviews! I got alot more to catch up on then lol but I loved that it made me smile and laugh lol hes so freakin adorable.
