I'm 15 and discovered Thomas Dolby through "She blinded me with science", I love his music so much!!

This whole album is excellent.

I was at that bar down in Mexico, just outside of Ensenada. It's a wild and crazy place, You're one loco hombre Thomas. I saw you perform hot sauce live with the lost toy people in 1988. One of the all time best live shows I ever been to. You're a breath of fresh air in this smog alert world we live in. Thanks for being who you are.

There is a guy at my work called Paul who spent a couple of years in Mexico. Since then he has always carried a little jar or two of hot sauce in his pocket to spice up his meals. I decided there was only one thing to do about this. Email him the entire lyrics of this wonderful Thomas Dolby composition. He wrote an email back saying "Well...um yes. I do like my hot sauce".

The more I watch Thomas Dolby , the more I like him .

The brother in the codpiece is Larry Blackmon in Cameo "Candy" video, who was also inspired by Ennio Morricone music in "Word Up".

Aliens Ate My Buick doesnt get enough recognition, such variety and this being one of the more comical tracks. Love the references to Cameo, both in lyric and in tune (.. now go listen to Attack Me With Your Love..)

Ahhh yes....as a viewer noted ... the nice slipped-in reference to Larry Blackmon ('the brother in the codpiece') of Cameo who likes his ladies all "sweet and sugary" (Cameo song Candy). Dolby paying homage and showing a slice of his Funk credentials. Well done sir!!

Am glad I was old enough to have money to buy this album when it came out, I loved Aliens Ate so much! Sadly not a bug commercial hit, He sounded like a white Prince with this album. I can actually almost imagine Prince or The Time doing this track.

One of the albums that is "reference materiel" I know... as do many of The FOH engineers using tracks of this album for tuning their PA.... And theres more to Dolby than just that.

Incredible pastiche. Gimme a fistful of Morricone surfing flamenco geetar.. The contemporary quotes and nods to pop classics are hilarious. Beyond hip.

Since being a teenager back in the early 80's onwards when he became my absolutely favourite musician i loved this song, thinking, ah if only when I'm older if i meet miss Hot sauce, i would fall in love. He is a Timelord, because in the beginning of the year 2000, i did meet her and she is hot and spicy, but twice as nicely although she burns me up! We got married and now just over 20 years later, my song for her is Thomas Dolby's 'the beauty of a dream'. I'm know he is definitely a Timelord, Yes!

Rose Stone did a duet with Thomas Dolby and did backing vocals on his song "Hot Sauce" in 1988. At 3:52 she says something in Spanish, can you please tell me exactly what she said?
