FINALLY FOUND THIS SONG!!! They played at the University of Washington while my parents were going there. My dad would randomly say "SCIENCEEE!" and we never knew what it was from lol. 30 years later I finally figured it out lol. edit: Thanks for the kind comments. Also, I didn't mean to mention my dad in the past tense--he still says it from time to time, but now we know its origins :) SCIENCEEE!!!!!

Me, too. Growing up, I was a nerd with a strong interest in science. Okay, that's still true. (!)😄 So when this song came out, it really spoke to me. Plus, it's just a great tune! Catchy as hell, great beat, great synth riffs, and a ridiculously silly title and concept. ("She blinded me with science"? What does that even mean?) One of my favorite New Wave songs of all time.

Good track, but I don't care for the singer's "out of control hiccup problem" in the tune. Reminds me of "The Flintstones" when Barney Rubble had repeated hiccup problems that made him jump up and down about thirteen times.
