Thomas & Friends Wallpapers on Windows XP Professional in Oracle VM VirtualBox

This is another demonstration video to feature 800x600 versions of the three Thomas & Friends Track Stars 2006 DVD wallpapers, also known as the three Thomas & Friends The Greatest Stories 2010 2-DVD set wallpapers on a classic Windows operating system in Oracle VM VirtualBox! This time, it's my most favorite classic Windows OS, Windows XP! It is the original 2001 version of Windows XP Professional, as you've probably guessed, and it's the first VirtualBox VM I ever used on Windows 10 Home when it first came out in 2015. Wow, it's amazing how time passes by pretty fast! I mean, the virtual machine itself is still fresh and useful for miscellaneous things to me.
Again, I exported all of The Greatest Stories Disc 2's Thomas & Friends desktop wallpapers in the style of Microsoft Plus!, and I bought the original 2010 release of The Greatest Stories 2-DVD set on eBay last year (in 2023). This was one of the computer operating systems expected to be used for all the Thomas & Friends wallpapers when the Sodor Activity Depot software on both Track Stars and Disc 2 of The Greatest Stories was in use because in those days, Windows XP was very common.
I also believe Windows XP was fully optimized for 800x600 wallpapers, just like the Windows 9x operating systems I demonstrated in reverse order ironically. However, I may record and upload demonstration videos of Windows 2000 and later operating systems showing larger size versions of the Thomas & Friends wallpapers sometime since Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 are fully optimized for wallpaper sizes that go beyond 800x600 as well. In the meantime, I am looking forward to demonstrating the 800x600 versions of the Thomas & Friends wallpapers on Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 since back in the day, 800x600 was standard for both classic Windows operating systems that use the NT kernel, just like Windows XP as well as Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows ME.
In this video, I did some interesting things while showing all three Thomas & Friends wallpapers, such as displaying Windows Media Player 8 and the Windows XP System Properties dialog box. Enjoy!

Sure does, and I am glad you enjoyed this video of the Thomas & Friends wallpapers being demonstrated on the greatest Microsoft computer operating system of all time since it was very interesting to record this footage. Thanks!

This looks pretty cool! I wish you’d add more like them living at Tidmouth Sheds. But my favorite has got to be the map of the Island of Sodor

There was no wallpaper of the Steam Team at Tidmouth Sheds on the disc for Track Stars and Disc 2 of The Greatest Stories. I guess a custom one would have worked well with the three official Thomas & Friends wallpapers from both DVD products, though, as the first wallpaper with Thomas in front of a blue background, the second one with a red background and several Thomas & Friends characters inside stars, and the third one with the map of the Island of Sodor could provide inspiration. But I am glad you enjoyed this demonstration video of the wallpapers on Windows XP since I like them all! Thanks!

@@evanpettigrew Yeah, I had fun with all three Thomas & Friends wallpapers from Disc 2 of The Greatest Stories on Windows 95 and Windows 98 as well since their visuals fit the colorful UI designs of the Microsoft Plus! 95 and 98 desktop themes very well. It shows how versatile these official Thomas & Friends wallpapers actually are. In particular, since Microsoft Plus! 98 had cool desktop themes based on Peanuts, Garfield and other American children's cartoon franchises, I felt that showing the wallpapers of the HiT Entertainment era of the British children's TV series, Thomas & Friends, on Windows 98 SE with Plus! 98 installed would be just as interesting.
