Ephesians 6:10-18 says, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless. 😊😊
My Grandfather told me many times when his grandfather told him about the eleventh hour. It was the most important moment for my great-great-grandfather in his life.
@@alucardthebloodleech5293 Or died of wounds a day or two later These guys were just cannon fodder, such a waste of life. Walking into machine gun fire hoping you'll survive. Even in their own trenches you're under attack from gas attacks brought in by artillery
There was a bullet in his colt 1911 that had the dudes' name on it engraved. By actually shooting that bullet, tommy signals that his revenge is satisfied and he no longer has the urge to kill the target. Armstice. The great war ended at 11am. Peace at last.
But don’t you feel like it’s almost a job incomplete? Although he feels that peace now aren’t they going to just keep coming until he eventually has to kill almost everyone ?
@@tonysoto2641 my thoughts on that are, that tommy grew tired of being two steps ahead of the opponents all the time. he fought gangsters, several mafia gangs, russians, even his own family and the thought he was going to die soon due to severe cancer. he lost beloved family members and his wife. big sacrifices. he wanted the fights to end finally. if you are on top of the game, you are virtually lonely and mostly on yourself. it takes a huge toll on ones psyche.
@@PeacefullyRacist I don't care about likes or attention. I commented to share background knowledge to people who didn't understand the scene or haven't watched the series yet.
The origin of the date and time of the armistice is kind of dark, actually. Allied generals were told to wait until that exact time to sign the armistice because they thought there was some sort of poetic beauty in it, despite the fact that delaying the signing led to the deaths of thousands more.
@@cousinegg1278there is no poetic beauty to it. The people that control the world use the language of numbers in more ways than most people can imagine. Look up what the number 11 means to the occult.
Because the first world war ended the 11th day of november (11th month) 1918 at the eleventh hour. Armistice. This scene symbolises the end of Tommy's ptsd.
They did the truce for a later time and supposedly was to be done peaceful knowing the war was soon to be over because the legality of it they ended up sneak attacking the enemy until the armistice then it was over. No repercussions because it was all legal
@@zoborskiseparatisti Ah then I guess you're right. I always thought trauma and ptsd were things you can only "learn to live with", but never fully recover from
The track is giving off that deep 'mercy' vibe while there is someone was just a breath away from death. This scene itself is an absolute masterpiece, Tommy averts his aim as he fires the bullet which was loaded with the intention to kill him, pretty much meaning his intention to end him is now gone with that bullet fired away.
I just realised peaky blinders was never about money, family or power. It was about a shell shock war vet that could only keep living and maintain somewhat of his insanity with a constant war. Either with civilians, gangs, police or even the fucking government. The ones that died in the war were lucky.
It was about the man (along with his love for family, his woman [Grace], the money he directed to the family & gang, his power & goals, his PTSD struggles, and his childhood caused demons (cause of his mom's suicide and father's derelict parenting).

Only show that rivals it is breaking bad but I prefer this because the humor is more classy but it is funny to just head Jesse say bitch every once In a while
@@iabproductionsofficiallmao, why is that cringe, when you said "it was prophesied"? Oh, you were talking about your own comment? My bad dude, you're right, you just corrected yourself!
Damn, this show was so good. Most people don't even know what the 11th hour means to a great war vet. In general I loved the depictions of ptsd and trauma in this show especially with Tommy. From season 1 doing dope to silence the sound of picks on his wall, his ability to silence the ticking when he finds grace, him getting the shakes after killing 4 Italians, him thinking he heard Artillery and dives in the river after a stressful situation. Even the soundtrack of a woman breathing to indicate his mental spiral. Literally a fucking masterpiece
I love when people say, "most people" _this,_ and "most people" _that..._ There is not a single Veteran of the Great War still alive, so I know you aren't one...what makes you think that you magically understand them better than "most people"?

It would be nice if there was some sort of spin off or episode about Tommy in WW2. He certainly would have been within the age range to be required to serve (18-51).
@@chrisberrios5857from what murphy says about himself. He was NCO in ww1. A clay kicker in the tunnels. Who was highly decorated hence the respect hes shown from other vets an civs thru out the show. Saved alot of lives apparently in the war too. But a spin off or prequel would be sick
@@GeneralBakon w how the 5th ended the 6th one was a bit slow but it was still really good imho just more about story orientated not as much action to keep us sucked in
@gabe8138 they were slow cuz it's setting up the movie they want to make I think another studio made seasons 1-4 then Netflix bought it and made the last 2 to set up the movie
My extended German family who never saw the 11 hour. Wilhelm Friedrich born December 11, 1880. Kill in action on the 26 of Aug. 1917 Friedrich born September 5, 1884. Kill in action on July 28 1918 in France. Johann Gottfried born August 6, 1886. Went missing in action on the 30 of August 1914. All three brothers never to return back home - Love from your American cousin, and may you rest in ever lasting peace.
I pray for you. My great uncle got missing in action. My dad’s older brother was looking for him in the battlefield, but he was never found. We figured out that the general was dealing with the Iranian soldiers, and planned a surprise attack. At least my country won. Iraq, won the war, but almost got took over. We won, but at what cost? Yes, we won, but thousands of men lost. My great uncle got lost on 1982.
I amazed by cillian for this part, when the bell is rang then he said "armistice" i feel kinda dragged also into the battlefield. Knowing that the war is over and still managed to alive is a gratitude despite the sorrows at that time still haunted me day by day
@@princetaylor7559 You know their rule......if something makes money like you're the one printing it, then keep milking it til the tits look like a runny egg hanging on a nail.
The facial expressions of both actors are immensely superb, Cillian seems really mean to kill him, and the guy accepting his death with teary eyes really looks so realistic
I have literally never seen a better RU-vid short edit on the entirety of RU-vid or anywhere. This little short clip of music with this scene is unbelievably perfect. During Armistice today i literally envisaged this scene. If a movie masterpiece could be a 30 second clip it'd be this.
A true soldier, armistice and he respects and shows what it meant by doing so. Not sure why but i shed a tear over that. I reminder of the hell they went thru.
I remember someone shooting a gun, close to me and I had no earplugs and my God did that gunshot hurt the hell out my ears but I don’t understand why movies display hearing a Gunshot won’t hurt the ears?
the acting is very much on point to what someone who survived WW1 would act like in that situation. i met the last soldier of paschendale. i can say without a doubt he died there. and i still remember that stare he gave me after i asked "what was it like" being a child i had no concept up until then. but when he stared well and truly past me and very much into my soul as he only said "it was hell". i swear i seen what he has been through his eyes. to this day, 2 decades on i still remember it so very clearly.
The 11th hour armistice peace at last..... shows us he forgive 🙏 his The man and when he shot it a sign that he killed the man but in reality he didn't he left him past life
Deaf in one ear for 3 days max, minimal permanent damage, practically unnoticeable. Atleast that was my experience on the two occasions a 12guage shotgun was fired from behind me over my shoulder.
Yeah I had similar experience with an M240 being fired with my ear about 2 feet from the muzzle. Totally deaf in that ear for a few days, then came back. According to audiologist I don’t even have permanent hearing loss, although I do have low pitched tinnitus. Don’t recommend the experience.
This is a sensational edit. The scene and music pair brilliantly. I wish the original scene has this music in it. The emotional Impact is augmented by it. Peace at last.
This scene was pure stroke of genius. Tommy is changed he wanted to forgive this doctor from heart. But when the bell rang at 11th hour. Tommy knew whats this meant to him. He still he made this mercy scenario look like luck. He made the the doctor believe he luckily survived from Tommy, who is a war veteran and chose to forgive him at this hour(from doctors perspective). By being merciful in heart, Tommy made sure outside everybody still thinks who he is, he always will be he will never change ❤❤❤❤❤
I just started watching peaky blinders this year and finished it just today, when i started at first i thought i wouldn't like it, but then I continued and began to fall in love with it. this is absolutely one of the best series I've ever watched, it made me feel all sorts of emotions, it'll always be a part of me, I was scared that Arthur and Tommy will die in the last season but I'm glad with how it turned out, that last scene where he rides a white horse whilst that song played is epic as hell! Peaky blinders will always have a top place in my heart.
he spared a man from the gun cause of 11th hour which is when world war 1 ended and said “peace at last” my. Man is a real one to remmber that for out country.
Fun fact: There is an officer custom in military if officer cocked his gun he has to shoot before putting it away. Which Tommy did when he decided to spare doctor's life.
This sounds like a poor spin off the ghurka traditional thumb scar. When the blade is unsheathed it must see blood. There is no British officer tradition that you mention.
