and that was what the old marvel followed back then too. when they sought to bring norse mythology into comics with their own twist, it was mostly within mythology context. now the writers have free reign. not that it's a bad thing, but most of the time, continuity is just not respected.
@@oblivion1091 agreed. he is one of my favorite characters since i began reading comics in childhood. i read mythology first though which got me interested in marvel's thor to begin with.
I wish they’d bring back real Mjolnir. I hate how they made the storm within go psycho on the realms and then removed her. The hammer becoming sentient was one of the best things in marvel.
@@Dimitriterrormanthink ur talking about Norse mythology. In marvel Odin just commissioned it from the dwarves. Don’t think there was a competition that time
@@Dookieman1975 the comics were copying mythology at first. It wasn’t until modern writers who don’t even like the character started changing things to fit their interests. For the worse.
It'd be hilarious if Mjolnir got sent to the past and picked up by a caveman of significance ( like the 1st caveman to make fire) altering the whole time line 😂
Now that I think of it, why isn’t there a moon knight among the Stone Age avengers? Cuz Khonsu just gets a new one every time he loses an avatar and has been around a long time so shouldn’t there be a primitive moon knight? And how come some of the humans in the Stone Age avengers are smart but the rest are dumb and primitive. Would also be cool if Apocalypse was around too
There are many human species million years ago some is more advance than the others , modern human (Homo Sapiens Sapiens) is one of them and the last surviving which became the dominant species of earth. Apocalypse is old but not one million years old. The Moon Knight one is kinda tricky and confusing , Khonsu might be around but the Moon Knight concept haven't yet born because civilization as whole haven't devoleped that much for humankind million years ago or just the writers forgot or didn't want to include him in general.
@@kevinnosaurus793Then how is there a Stone Age Black Panther? Bastet granting her herb to her host is kinda just the same in concept Unless like, Khonsu took inspiration from her
@kevinnosaurus793 well said. To support your Moon Knight point, I once saw a video on WhyFiles about various ancient civilizations claiming they existed before the moon arrived arround Earth's orbit. I really like the idea that the moon was a new thing for early civilizations a million years ago and that they simply just didn't think of the moon as a body worthy of worship yet.
I love how the original concept for gaining the power of Thor has been warped. Odin via the hammer does not give that which he does not have. Thor is a personage, not a power. Originally, Donald Blake was Thor, just inhibited by mortality. If you want to use the idea of people getting the power of Thor, then I think the TV show The Incredible Hulk has a good premise. The person does not get the power of Thor but instead releases/ trades places/ calls forth Thor. Thus, it is Thor himself that comes forth and not some transferable power to any Tom, Dick, or Harry... like the embarrassing last Thor movie, with the kids... everyone's a Thor 😢
Shouldn't a préhistorique human be able to lift mjolnir. After all, he should be more pure hearted by following his instincts without the corruption of civilization. Or does mjolnir have a set of rules that decides the meaning of pure of heart?
Someone (maybe Simonson?) said the definition of "worthy" was "devoted protector and good potential king of Asgard". So people like Superman and Captain America are not worthy, because their focus is on Earth, not Asgard, and they wouldn't be comfortable with monarchy. A caveman would put the interest of his own tribe before Asgard, and probably wouldn't understand the responsibilities of kingship.
voice acting made me chuckle :) also odin straight up dissing half of his roster by saying this world is inbred...where does black panter, shang chi and sorceres supreme come from?
A million years ago was way, way, way, before the Stone Age. Good read though!

Is this comment a product of American education? The stone age lasted about 3M years and ENDED about 6,000 years ago. A million years ago you'd be 2/3 of the way through the stone age. Good read though.
Questions his education, then says 6000s years ago... Gobeki tepi? History is beinf rewritten as we speak.

@@sell2012 stone age ended around 3,000 BCE. What are you on about? This person claimed a million yrs. ago was before the stone age when it was smack dab in the middle of it. You part of that same education system? Gobeki has nothing to do with the above comment or my response to it. It was around 10th c. BC and despite it's developments that doesn't change when most scholars view the stone age as "ending".
Because its all woke bs writers.... Never seen such a bad retcon... Glad that phoenix is dead... for good.... Probably in about a year.... they will retcon everything again... for their own sake...
