Yeah this is soooo sooo painful till have a pipe insert in your chest. Until your lungs got clean completely . Its just moment of pray to GOD to save them , thanks i m saved.
@@Atgether yeah there is risk of demage of other body parts like you may face problem your ears or eyes etc. There is no other way to recover from lungs fluid rapidly and want to save your life. PS : do regular exercise and drink ample amount of water to fast recovery.
@@sachindubey4315 brother please help me , actually i was a smoker , my condition right now is not good , i feel like my lungs producing fluid , and i also feel discomfort in my left side ribs , i don't know where is the actual point of pain , is it in the lungs or in the ribs or between them , fluid is also coming out from my mouth and i am sure its directly coming from my lungs side... I tested several times and every time nothing came in the test , i am so much disappointed with the indian medical science , i know they will find my desease only when it will not be curable , bro tell me something man what to do , i want to live. 💝
@@RU-vid_Unplugged yeah indian medical is really wrost , it will come when its not curable . It happened with my case also . For now do focus on these few pointers. 1. Drink water as much as you can consumer as it will detoz your lungs 2. Do regular experience to make yourelft active and fresh. 3 Eat as much as you can if anything is happening inside your body then right now your weight may be loosing day by day to pretend this you should eat as much as you can to make balance . 4 . If living in delhi then plz use mask as air quality is too wrost now days .which is damaging lungs .
My brother just had a near drowning experience while training with the coast guard. He went unconscious in the water but now they are trying to get the water out his lungs. Watching this made me so relieved.
❤️🙏 whoever suffering from such times I pray to God Almighty for you and your loved ones going through this May he bless each and everyone going through this times , I humbly request each and everyone who sees this to pray to the Lord for healing and curing my baby brother ❤️ With love and grace ❤️🙏 Thank you God ❤️🙏 Thank you everyone ❤️🙏 Thank you my God oh good Lord for I know you will bless him with your love and warm health ❤️🙏
Just had this myself, I'm in recovery. They drained 2.5ltrs from my right lung which was infected following pneumonia, which I didn't realize I had. I was really unwell with it, in a lot of pain, but have largely recovered. I hope it doesn't return
From not being able to hardly take two steps or lie down to walking about I could have kissed the chap who performed it last time Tey took fv litres out the whole lot ,
i remember my thoracentesis in the ER before being admitted for chylothorax. i have anxiety so the nurses gave me meds through my IV that they said would make me feel like i had a few margaritas. they were right. also the stuff that came out looked like chocolate milk
@@अवधूत-घ2म My Friend, Thank you for asking but not good, Very out of breath and lethargic.. Do not think he is in need of another drain.. He ,in the early stage got out of breath and was diagnosed with fluid and had several drains and then major surgery for Asbestosis .. again I don't know if you are a doctor but I was in medical practice for 46 yrs now 80, I realise now one can know to much.. May god be with you and thank you for asking Geoffrey.....
I've had this done in 2019 just before the COVID 19 out break . Insertion to the skin and long needle into my cavity between the ribs into my lung to drain all of the mucus 3ltres of dead smell liquid that came out while lay there coughing once it had finished starting to walk again it takes all of your energy it was hard to breath it was like a extra breath after your first breath. But it turned out fantastic thank u . I'm still here today thank u god. I still suffer with emphysema and COPD at times . But not as bad as before it's been two years and I feel better than before .
I wanted to ask a few questions about this surgery.. i hope u don't mind answering. How long did it take for u to come back to normal? Did u have fever after the procedure? Did u find it difficult to breath after doing some work? Was there pain in Ribs sometimes??
@@whatevermynameis_2063 hello thank you for asking about my brother his doing fine, able to breath much better & his no longer having pain...I pray your father's procedure was just as successful and his no longer experiencing any discomfort🙏🙏🙏
I had this done a few days ago! Wasn't painful only had a local. And no incision! Only paib I had was when they pulles the needle out, felt like they sucked all my insides out! Was a little bit of soreness!.Took a Tylenol! I am 77 yrs old.I have Cancer, small Tumors one in right Lung Stage 1and left lung stage 2. NSCLC! Finished Radiarion treatment only! 4 months ago! First Pet scan since treatment ! Tumors are starting to shrink, no sign in nodes , no spread! Then pet scan showed a plueral.effusion. took 1.3 liters off lungs! Could be side effect of Radiation!. Hope to find out soon!
I had this done last year twice. The most painful feeling I have ever felt. They couldn't give me any pain medicine, only stuff to numb me on my back. The second time they did it I heard a huge pop noise it was so scary and painful omg
I wanna ask a few questions about this surgery if u don't mind. Did u have fever after surgery? Did u have pain in ribs sometimes? Did u find it difficult to breath after working ?? (Please let me know as soon as possible)
@@ShanayaArora-os1gz I know you didn’t ask me, however, I’ve had it done and can answer your questions. I hope it’s not too late… I didn’t have a fever. I had some pain but it wasn’t excruciating, it was tolerable. I did have breathing problems, but I’m sure other factors came into play. After a few weeks I was okay.
It's important that you breathe shallow after the procedure. If a large amount is drained ( in my case 2 liter) it can create a painful void. The doctor can slow down the drainage. It only lasted a few minutes.
When they did this to me I was so scared but the fluid off I could breath so much better after just getting one drained. I would have to sleep upright just to breath so after I could breath and it was heaven. I slept soooo good after and They drained the other one the next day. I had to have this done 3 times because of lupus smh
Hello everyone hope all is having a good day. I know everyone is different but for me draining chest is much worse than abdomen more than likely you'll have a cough and with all the nerves in that area it is very painful. I've had 5 so far counting back to last year 3 and then 2 this year and I've got to have another probably next week.
My mother tried doing this, she screamed from pain and stopped the doctor. Is there anything that can be done so that she can't feel the pain? She is 71 and having 4th stage cancer. I feel so bad for her and the pain she then has to go through.
My mother suffered with stage 4 metastasis pulmonary cancer, where we discovered it very lastly through X-ray and scan after it internally developed. We hadn’t done any previous health checkups due to Covid situation outside. She has internal pleural drainage, when ever she had radiation therapy, pleural liquid accumulates and had to be removed for spo2 levels correction. This is sad and painful to watch her suffer and died during 3rd chemo cycle. Advice :. Please if you are aged 40+, take executive health check with all cancer markers included. Prevention is better than cure 😢
I've had this procedure done 3 times, within a 2 month period. I'm told that it is the result of my newly discovered lung cancer. Have already gone trough 5 chemo treatments, and 15 radiation treatments. The fluid however has returned. Judging from the xray, it looks to be about 1 liter. No pain, no discomfort. Best to leave the pleural effusion alone? (Fluid was diagnosed benign each time)
I have lived with this problem for years, no doctor give me a solution, I have done so many x-rays n CT scans still no help, I wish I could get a permanent solution to my problem,
Resume: -the pleural space is between the lungs and chest cavity. -it can be filled with fluid due to CHF (congestive heart failure), kidney disease, infection, cancer. - thoracocentesis- drainage of the fluid. -chest X ray can show fluid presence. -complications are rare. (discomfort) -apply local skin anesthetic. -needle is inserted - 1-1,5 l fluid is drained. -> Hope you found this useful. Plan is to resume as many videos as I can :) Subscribe
Had it done three times with cirrhosis, mine gathers in space behind lung but it's nice n clear last time e was Xmas eve breathing OK but it is very debilitating
my beloved auntie died 4 month ago, the doctor said that my auntie did not need to do the procedure because the fluid can be drained through urine 😭 unfortunately it was getting worse 😭
For a patient with metastatic tumour which lead to development of pleural effusion, how long does drainage eliminate the symptoms (coughing and shortness of breath) post drainage.
My husband just got a diagnosis that he has water in the lungs I don’t know if it’s the same thing as what you’re talking about but is it dangerous to leave that in there and if so for how long

I had this procedure last month and a liter of fluid was drained from my right lung. I had pneumonia and my doctors linked it to a bacterial infection called Q Fever. The infection was so bad that I had dry cough and atrial fibrillation causing tachycardia. I'm better now.
Hello brother is that short term drainage tube process is painful, cuz my doctor took 10ml sample from right lung with simple syringe it was little painful without any anesthesia but now I'm worried about other proces to drain it out all and my age is 20.
@Shashvt I had local anesthesia in the entry point of the drainage tube, so there was no pain, but you do feel the sensation of having a foreign object in your chest. When it was removed, there was no anesthesia used and the doctor yanked it out really quick. There was a slight pinch if pain but not drastic.
@benyosef6570 It took just over 3 weeks. The main concern was getting my White Blood Cell count (WBC) down between 4k and 11k per micro-liter. I was over 20k when I got to the hospital.
I had 1 liter drained one week ago, they did not do chest x-ray afterwards. I coughed more in the last week than I did prior to the procedure. Now have to go back and have it drained again today. I am dreading it !
@@almadominguez4408 Hi Alma, I am okay. I still have fluid around my lung, but not enough to have to get another Thoracentesis, thankfully. I'm getting a chemo port put in my chest next week and starting chemotherapy on Sept 20th. Thank you so much for asking. How are you ?

I had one end of a pipe inserted on water tank and I was sucking the water out from the other end.. in the process I ended up with some water entering my lungs.. the water was full of dirt and rotten leaves.. should I be worried doctor?
fortnite lover that happened to me. I was put on even stronger antibiotics after, but I did contract Staph in my lungs from the procedure as well and had to be quarantined :-/
