Why is there not a video out there for patients who have been through this and what to expect? I know they sure lied to me about how much my biopsy would hurt. If my biopsy hurt that much, what is losing part of my lung going to be like? Give patients some truth without med speak. Some of us are terrified.

I just had a lobectomy and am home now. It hurt is an understatement.

I shouldn’t have said that. My doctors and all the nurses were awesome and worked hard to put me at ease and make it smooth and help me be comfortable. I’m sure your people will do the same.

@@szim5551 I totally agree. Had my tumor removed a few weeks ago and felt even worse. Was even more upset with my treatment. To start with my epidural blew out and formed a huge lump in the tissue above my shoulder blade. I was in so much pain i would have jumped out the window if i could have got out of bed. One Dr did not notice till the morn after. So i pretty much had no pain relief. Then i had 2 Drs fighting over pain care. The nice lady Dr finally got my pain settled, then the other guy came in and changed it. So another agonizing night. Day 3 they literally kicked me out. I was in no way ready to go home and did not really have any care at home. I also told them i was not sure i could get a ride that day. They said well you have already been discharged, so we will call you a cab if needed. Then only a week and a half later, they took away my pain meds. I would not wish this on someone i hate. My nerves are trying to heal from the incisions and i cant even stand clothes touching my left side. I feel like i have 3rd degree burn and being electrocuted at the same time. I already had fibromyalgia and pain issues before this. Now life is hell. I wake up in the middle of the night nearly screaming, as i tried to take a deep breath and that feels like someone is running a spike into my chest and out the back. I feel like i should have canceled my surgery. I keep asking what was the reason i put myself through this for. Not like i have any life to look forward too. My kids treat me like i went in for bunion surgery. And i should be all better now.

@@shecat1964 I was literally just feeling sorry for myself because I somehow hurt one of my incision sites. I moved wrong and it felt like I tore it open a bit, it’s constant aching now. After reading your comment I feel like I should slap myself and thank God I don’t have it worse! I absolutely cannot believe your story! What is wrong with your doctors? I want to cry for you because this pain is indescribable. I’m still on different pain management meds and it’s been 4 weeks since my operation. It does get better, it just takes awhile. In the meantime, you need to get your doctor to help manage the pain. Are you doing the deep breathing exercises?

Amen, I’m still in pain from my biopsy and they want to take my upper left lung lobe, how painful; is that going to be. Ugh
