An island like no other, Thorpe Park has welcomed visitors for over 40 years. Originally opened by Ready Mix Concrete before being bought by Tussauds and subsequently Merlin Entertainments. This Theme Park has seen many changes over the years.
The educational nature of its early attractions gave way to a family friendly park full of adventures such as Phantom Fantasia and the Magic Mill as well as Thunder River and the iconic Log Flume Loggers Leap.
Roller coasters X:\ No Way Out and Space Station Zero were joined in the 2000’s by Colossus, Nemesis Inferno and Stealth, creating a true thrill seekers paradise. The Island is constantly evolving adding new experiences and constructing new rides. Uncover the fascinating history of this British theme park.

Nice review of the history of the park. We are coming over from Ireland for our first visit in April, we will be back again in the summer as I think Hyperia will not be open until May or even June. It's exciting to visit the park for the first time, especially with Hyperia coming and the Sparkle Project too.

How exciting! I didn't make my first visit until 2012, it's great to see all the changes at the park. You will get a little preview of Hyperia and have a good reason to come back!
