@@PurposefullyTCG yeah I've heard the horror stories about it being a menace in previous formats. Now no one bats an eye as I silently wait for the support comming in the new starter (apparently kata has tops in op8 jpn)😈😈
As a person who's been playing since 03 and only has 2 winners from prizing I totally get this, I've been in the jank hole for 4 sets (I didn't play 06) but I'm finally playing Bonney
This was me in a sense when I first started playing running Rebecca then when OP05 came out I had played a bunch of different decks, avoiding playing yellow. I borrowed my brothers Enel deck on a whim to play 1 locals and went undefeated and won - against other Kat and Enels lol. I guess playing against yellow and losing to it so much just made me naturally good with the deck 😅
When your favourite character is an unplayably bad leader but you got 2 lucky games on the Sim when you started playing them: It's me, I'm the Ivankov player trying to make a deck that's better at milling itself than Nami work.
@DNeonLamp yeah, I've really been liking it on simulator. You don't go for the big plays, just consistent steady attacks with plenty of bouncing effects. Keeps building your hand and defending. Worst case scenario I can just morph it into Hancok once she comes out
@@PurposefullyTCG I took garp to treasure cup and went 2-7 and you know what I learned from that harrowing experience? To rebuild it and do it again and expect different results, will report back
Dude, i love running my big mom deck. I haven't broken top 8 yet but let me tell yea. Dropping 2 10c big moms back to back and watching the hope fade from a enel player and sakazuki player is worth it
I'm very excited to see what Rebecca does in a post Sakazuki world. His reprint will still steal some spotlight but Black/Blue combo is too good for Rebecca to be completely unviable, especially with all the great tools black especially has gotten since her set.
i used to play the meta back in op02 and 3 with zoro only but then when i got my arlong alt art i made the deck and somehow playing meta i never got top 3 but then with arlong i tied for first
@@PurposefullyTCG My main deck is Garp, and I just picked up Nami in OP05 for fun. It's definitely a fun deck to play. I didn't find it too difficult to play, but I haven't picked it up since. I may be one of the few people who enjoy playing against Nami in the sim and at locals - not just because I know how to beat it, but I learn a lot about how the deck should be run!
this is why i can never play constructed/standard at stores. only time stores have been fun is in draft cuz everybody has same chance of having good/bad decks.
@@KesslerVTuber agreed, Arlong gets better as Yellow as a whole gets better, of only East Blue wasn't horrendously under-statted he may have gotten some love.
I'd rather have fun playing an experimental jank deck than the same meta everyone else is playing. I know when you keep losing over and over again it no longer becomes fun but at that point but ir just gets boring everyone playing the same decks. Or even the boring but practical mono red Zoro type decks. Yes yes we need jank players.
@PurposefullyTCG This is why I play Vegapunk but with the new Seraphim cards I could probably turn it into a lethal jank deck. Like you think it's a joke but it actually ends up running well.
@@PurposefullyTCG yeah that's when they plan to come back, I've been holding strong with fun decks. Played the promo mono blue Luffy last week, 3-1, final round got absolutely destroyed by a Moria player
love those kind of people , cuz i play rebecca since she came out, and i hate all the meta player, every game it's the same and boring, i would like to see more leader at my locals other than katakuri/moria
Everyone says I am crazy. That I am just scared. But this is my proof. Yellow is the single most evil color in this game and it corrupts the very soul of players! I will never submit! I refuse! I will never ever be a yellow player!
