sanji is such a polite boy lmao. he accidently destroyed that barrel bc gan fall told him to, and in the next shot you can see him cleaning it up with a little brush teehee. so cute 🤭
Yeah, I love how he did it, he couldn't predict it because by the time the attack came, he was locked in place so predicting it did nothing and he didn't see the danger of being locked in place by Wyper because in his vision, Wyper just managed to grab him while he managed to pierce him with his lance. That explains why he didn't evade the danger despite his predictive powers.
You ladies are the best at theory crafting and picking up little details. The little things matter in this world and I’m so glad you notice them all. Thank you for being such great reactors. 🤗
Rewatching One Piece is a huge commitment so I'm really enjoying getting to experience it again through your channel. Thank you for the awesome reaction videos, big fan of your channel! 😁
Pretty sure Zoro being able to cut steel was a swordsmanship ability, nothing to do with Haki. And "Mantra" can only hear living things, not his swords or rocks. Not everything beyond standard strength and abilities is Haki. For example: - The Rokushiki (the 6 superhuman martial arts abilities) are not based on Haki - Swordsmen "flying" attacks are not Haki - Sanji's "Diable Jambe" is not Haki
I say this almost every time I comment. But your reactions are so genuine and excited and such a unique dynamic. You have one reacting on a much more emotional level creating that relatableness in the regards to the typical viewers feelings in that moment. While the other, not as emotional, is calculating and deciphering the episodes in a way that makes her relatable to the other part of One Piece fans, the conspiracy theories. Both together is such a great foil and really truly makes watching your reactions to this show so much better than the first time I watched it by myself.
I'll never get tired of the silly gag of both Luffy and Zoro not just getting lost but being confident about where they are going in their own unique but stupid way.
Oh my god, I forgot that Luffy gets lot because he talked about going south as it's a "warmish place" like in Syrup village. He's nothing if not consistent with his beliefs!
Oda already confirmed that the One Piece is NOT the friends we make along the way. He also said that there is something tangible at the end, so there is something physical there, waiting for someone to find.
My interpretation of Gan Fall's comment has always been as an appeal to humanity. Less "I like pumpkin juice so much I can't give up the land" or "I can make pumpkin juice using the land we stole, nana nana boo boo", and more "I'm just a person, same as you. I like pumpkin juice, and gardening, do you?" An opportunity to find some common ground (pun not intended but absolutely retained) that Wyper was too blinded by rage to recognize.
I agree with you completely. The metaphor of this Arc is one of Colonization but also one of attempted healing. Gan Falls comment here is an attempt to appel to Wypers humanity. It fails because Wyper cannot see Gan Fall as human, just as the monster who took away his tribal homeland. And he has every right to see Gan Fall this way considering the context, but Wyper also stands in the way of true progress here. The Skypians, from there perspective cannot give back the land becuse they've lived on it for 4 hundred years and consider it theirs now. The Shandians, from there perspective still think of this land as theirs and consider the Skypians theives. Gan Fall understands this and wants to change things but is still stuck in the mind set of not being able to give back the land due to how positive it effects his people. A.K.A. the pumpkin juice. Honestly it's a similar situation to any country that has a history of colonization in the real world. From USA to Aus. Are these nations just supposed to give back all stolen land, despite the fact they've lived their for generations? of course it would be ethical, but then where exactlly do these people go? What do they do? That doesn't give them the right to oppress but these are still questions that would need answers.
I understood this when I younger, but now that I'm in my 30's I'm on wiper's side on that. That line alone, "I like Pumpkin Juice" sounds tone deaf to me now. It's like, I don't give a shit that you like pumpkin juice, when you are farming that from pumpkins grown on our stolen homeland. If I was wyper, I wouldn't care about common ground when that common ground is the homeland you were kicked off of in the first place by the people preaching 'let's find common ground'.
A big part of it is also Gan Fall trying to be practical "This land provides us food and drink" but not understanding that to the Shandians it isn't about that. It's a cultural and spiritual sacred land. Gan Fall is wrong but means well. Wyper is right but uncompromising and making it worse for himself
@@dkthunder3 dude when the younger self is more mature than you are right now, something went wrong, amother things they are not the same people just the descendant that want to do right but they are still in need of that land after such a long time.
As someone who loves the VAs and is Japanese, I love that you guys keep the audio for these reactions!!! I can't wait to see you girls further on this journey, so many surprises and laughs are coming!!! One Piece truly creates a community, and seeing you guys laugh about my favorite show makes me so happy!
🤔 Picking Up Sticks: - it may be Fun because for tens of thousands of years sticks were required to start a fire. The fire would become the Family Room, same as now. Food would be prepared over it. The camp would be light and warm, while the smoke would keep insects and predators away. Children could play and conversation would begin. I think we ‘remember’ this, and that’s why sticks are fun to pick up while hiking.
What Luffy was doing is a Japanese Oldies Poem but the Poem is his own .. and the fact that he calling out Idiot at the end while being one himself is just funny x'D
Luffy's voice actress is very good in the cast-performed version of "We Are"! Great energy and tone. Truthfully, it's hard to imagine Luffy without that voice.
That snake is a reference to Quetzalcoatl, an Incan and Mayan creator god, also known as the feathered serpent. The skypia arc is heavily inspired by the legend of El Dorado, the legendary city of gold allegedly built by one of these people, which led mostly Spanish conquistadores to invade South and Central America in the late 16th and early 17th century in search of fortune. There are many different sources to this myth, and one of these sources relates to a king or chief of the Muisca people in Colombia, who as an initiation rite covered himself in gold dust before submerging hiself in a lake. The conquistadores called him "El Rey Dorado", the golden king, and that's where the term El Dorado comes from.
Nah y'all ain't seeing what Haylo's rocking. Everyone's too distracted with the episode to notice that amazing Attack On Titan shirt she's got on. Straight fire Haylee!
On an episode about the Shandians vs the Skypiean as well, where both groups have wings. And Haylo was so wondering on how the Shandians gets the wings in this episode.
The pumpkin juice scene is a little confusing but really what Gon Fall was trying to convey was that the verth allows him to grow his pumpkin juice that he loves so much.. I think another translation could be “I love the taste of your pumpkin juice” or something along those terms it was more of a complement than an insult
you know, thats actually so interesting how gan fall said enel abuses the fact that people become their most vulnerable when they perceive sin in their own actions....thats gotta say something about odas feelings on some organized religions right? i mean idk what you two's beliefs are, but when i think about a religion like mormonism, that is literally whats being taught! that all humans are inherently sinful and thus must worship and work to absolve themselves of that sin. as an atheist, i like that oda establishes that its incredibly easy for religious or cult leaders to use that belief to abuse people. its very interesting for him to do that in an arc that takes place in "heaven" where there are "angels" and a "god". i love the skypiea arc ❤️
Naah... First thing first, being religious isn't like a switch where you can turn it on or off. Second thing second, yes, it's true that religious leaders could manipulate people, but the same thing can also be said to political leaders, celebrities and even scientists (though the extent of the result may vary). There's more I'd like to say, but I think I'll stop here.
In the SBS (a section in the One Piece manga where Oda answers fan questions) of Volume 33 of One Piece, a fan asked if, besides the 'Southern Islands' and 'Northern Islands' mentioned in Luffy's song, there are also references to Eastern and Western Islands. Oda responded by letting Luffy finish his song: "Hmmmm-hmhmhmhmm In the Eastern islaaands, the Sun is early to riiiiiisssseee! Gets 'em all hyper, hyper, its people are foooooolllllsss! In the Western islaaands, the nights are loooong! Gets your body itchin' for action, its people are fooooollllsss! Aaaaahh, ah ah ahaaaa... that was a yaaaawnnnn! Everyone's a smiley, smiley fooooooooolllll!"
In January 2025 (after 1 year) - ~Épisode 290 😭 In september 2025 - Épisode ~ 470 In January 2025 - Épisode ~ 580 In January 2026 - Épisode ~ 860 In January 2027 - Épisode ~ 1 150 So you will have caught up with the anime in mid-2027 it's too long 😭 We should speed up, let's go from 2 ep videos to 4 ep, so 12 episodes per week instead of 6 😮 The arc with episodes 336/380 should be done in October. Just like Drum in December, each Arc should be released in the month/season that corresponds to it. A person who knows one piece well should tell you when you should speed up or slow down the pace to be perfect on the timing you know 😕
Thank you guys for so much One Piece!! You guys are going at a great pace (no matter how much we want more 😂) Keep it up! I look forward to your uploads every week!
oh yea , the warmish and coldish direction things are also a callback to luffy and shanks arguing over which islands were colder shanks said north pole was colder , luffy said north pole was warmer. last time luffy went south because he believed north was warmer (or he went north bc vice versa i forgot but it is HIS reasoning). and this time he follows shanks' reasoning and goes north because its colder. a little call back and extremely minor character development if you never caught that , even oldheads dont catch it lol
