The swampy grind at the beginning gave me immediate chills. Her voice is amazing. Cracks, falsetto, rasp and that fluttery vibrato is so unique.

I have to agree ... I always enjoyed the featured vocals but this song with Monica sounds fully integrated and realized, as a band should be. Not just many great players together but a cohesive sound

this tune just strikes me sooo hard everytime. have been listening and thinking about it for weeks since it came out it makes me see something sunset glowing with purple sky, leaving your bike laying on the meadow beside and just yourself thinkin about stuff: life, memories, loved ones, regrets and joy in a quiet breeze filled with dark birds flying across the tone of this song is just so right thank you monica and scary pockets

Just discovered Monica a few weeks ago through her collaboration with Vulfpeck. I'd only heard her voice in that super mellow, smooth tone (where her performances are always stellar), but it's so amazing how she starts belting around 2:30-2:45. What a versatile voice!
