Pretty sure LA is in both classic Fallout games as the Boneyard. Also the shady sands sign is odd as it is a post war town. Unless the NCR made that sign theres one lore discrepancy already.
Good call. Now that you remind me I'm positive you're correct. But i remember the npcs were heavily stressing it was so destroyed it really wasn't anything resembling the old city anymore. This is consistent with what we learn about new york (fo4 BOS dialogue?) being hit so many times that is was just craters for miles
@@Nuggets250 Man, I played the first two last fall/winter and they hold up so well in terms of atmosphere. Significantly darker than later games even. Still plenty of wacky humor but it was tempered by things like the Boneyard reminding us of what exactly we lost in the war. No fun or loot to be had. Just a sad sort of memorial to the cost
I betcha the NCR made the sign. In the first 2, they seemed to really be selling the idea they were a legitimate state. They wanted people to see they had all the trappings of "civilization" from the good old days like schools and police force. So a big sign is a perfect symbol for the lifestyle they are trying to emulate
@@BigboiiTone yeah I love the tone of the classics. More morbid than newer titles which contrasts the dark humour even more. The ambient soundtrack with distant dog barking and otherworldly metallic droning helped sell the atmosphere.
Bethesda already messed up the lore and i doubt the show will be very accurate to the already altered bethesda lore , nevermind the original game ( which had you visit LA where the show takes place )
Sorry last comment I promise. But I feel your pain on the copyright claim. That and extremely restrictive spam filters that basically ban you from typing anything whatsoever
I posted a comment about which episodes of star trek i really like and IG deleted it, claiming i was "trying to get likes in a manipulative way" It's like bruh you realise that's 99.9% of every post IG has ever had right?
I stay open minded on adaptations like this. I think it's potentially a good idea they are using an all new story, as direct story adaptations of games tend to suck. I'm disappointed though they are putting all the episodes up at once. Some people think this model lets people over-consume the media then rush to conculsions in their rush to give "hot takes." Good film/television criticism is not something that lends itself particularly well to the stream of conciousness reactionary content we seem to prefer these days. But i'm really hopeful this show will be deep enough that people have in-depth discussion.
I have my own issues with the Halo show but I wont get into that. I still appreciated how they did an episode per week. I follow the main Halo channels and they were making these 👌🔥🔥 videos about each weekly episode. It wasn't so much about the show, but being able to take the time to watch their rating videos cause you know they're each like 30 min😂
That brotherhood guy in the harness didnt look too hot. I thought it looked good. Now i think it looks and feels cheap. (He jetpacks off a bus. Looks ass) first scene clip on amazon chanjel rn.
Some thing that worries me is the tone, for some reason some people ( for example todd howard ) seems to see fallout as this silly zany comedy in many aspects and while it does have that element , it is not the norm and almost always underpinned by something dark happening . I think fallout 1 and new vegas are a good representation of how humor should be in the game
For a while, it looked like Kyle's character was going to become mutated into a cyclops. I hope he gets at least a few episodes. He is pretty choosy about the roles he takes it feels like. Hopefully this show is good enough that he stayed on board with it. And that finger monster is definitely new, perhaps inspired by the gulper/angler things
I think the show could be good, but I'm cautiously optimistic. I enjoyed Fallout 4 well enough despite having major issues with it, and I didn't play 76 because I have no interest in it, but I haven't truly loved anything Fallout since New Vegas. I think it just hurts the most knowing that we're possibly not getting Fallout 5 until something like 2030...
No for some reason all my footage got deleted off my xbox but i bought it on pc so i can play through it and get the footage for a proper video. Each one of those dlc deserves a solid vid
Yeah some of the lines felt odd for the trailer but im gonna chalk it up til trailer editing but it seems like the set design at the very least is solid
Reminder that trailers are often cut by marketing goons who seldom understand the work they're showcasing. Trailers go for lowest common denominator stuff. Explosions, romance, badass one liners etc. Wait for the actual show for sure
Lmfao who the hell is actually considering watching these game spin off live action shows anymore? So tired of this shit. Wonder how many gay couples or lore inconsistencies they'll add because the director only cares about their vision?
