I haven't listened to Thousand Foot Krutch in over 2 years. I just randomly thought of them today. Now I'm just sitting and listening to all the songs from them that I forgot I missed
My favorite line from this song is.... ♫"We wernt divided, We were the same, And we were free, But we all wore chains"♫ and ♫" Brick by brick we built it so thick, That it blocked out the sky and all the sun light, And one by one we all became numb, We we're making the bullets to a broken gun"♫
"And brick by brick we built it so thick that it blocked out the sky and all the sunlight. And one by one we all became numb we were making the bullets to a broken gun." The way they sang those lines is so good I can't help but go back and re-listen.
'i don't think i need you anymore take your words and your lies and just beat it i don't think i need you anymore take the hurt and the pain, i don't need it'
This song is an absolute masterpiece. It's a wake-up call. The lyrics are so profound; the song is a warning about what our society will become if we don't stand up and change it.
Mr. Smith, "profound" is a synonym to the word "confusning." I believe the words to this song are very much clear. But then again, that is but my simple believe.
Islander A synonym of confusing? Really? I've never once heard it used that way. I've always thought it to mean "deep" or "thought provoking". Yeah, for sure the song is really clear.
Indeed, I did some research. It turns out the word actually means it is so deep and thought provoking that it confuses. I know this sir learned something new today. I did not know the specifics of the meaning.
Islander actually, the word "profound" was used correctly by BradSmith. In none of the words three definitions (as defined by two dictionaries and thesaurus'; Webster's and Macmillan) is there any indication of said word to correlate with the word "confusing"
Matt Conway Hello, Matt. I would like to reference both Oxford and Merriem-Webster's. Webster's "Profound" definition 1.b: difficult to fathom or understand. Oxford's "Profound" definition 2.1: demanding deep study or thought. Oxford's "Profound" thesaurus 5: complex. difficult, unfathomable, etc I believe that should be enough. If you would like, I could add another comment including sentences in which the word is used according to the above definitions. Also, I could fetch the links for the defnitions online. If you need any help defining any other words, I am at service. Feel free to message me privately or comment under this comment section.
@@fraytirkah Realise it's been 8 years, but the heck are you on? Where was it proven? "McNevan explained the song's meaning to NewReleaseToday: "This song is about someone speaking to their addictions and written from the point of view of me describing it in a dream. When I picture us singing this chorus together, speaking to our addictions, mountains and vices, it gives me chills. It's the scene in the movie when someone walks out of the darkness into the light." "
It also helps me feel like me, often I go out and sit on the trampoline at night and listen to my playlist, and talk to the moon, I'm aware that's weird but I feel listened to so, :). ();)(;()
One, THANK YOU FOR COMMENTING ON ME, and two, I'm aware of that, this song just makes me feel so free and it makes me feel understood, even though almost no one ever understands, or cares.
Well, there a few, but surely there is still music with meaning out there. Imagine dragons, Stromae, Ultimo, Natalia Lafourcade. I just listen, listen to understand. And actually, the debut album of Rosalia has meaning, but... her other songs... well...
It does it's just hard to find good ones like this now you have to either bounce around artist to artist. In today's world there is unlimited content but it's almost like we were only introduced to or taught and have grown to like/love those and forgot about the rest. Almost everything on the radio is bullshit about love, intimacy, fun, heartbreak, cheating, having money, bars, clubs, ect. I very rarely hear any of my favorite artists on the radio because they go against the radio's music industry distributing policies ig idk
I don’t think I need you anymore Take your words and your lies and just beat it I don’t think I need you anymore Take the hurt and the pain I don’t need it so cool :3
I still wanna live with that pain. I still wanna hold on to this world. I know this world sucks but it was beautiful once. I wanna be the change, I wanna learn to believe but not in "god" who doesn't give a thing...
snow man actually it is he's saying he doesn't need the devil anymore and when the song say we can all be kings and queens if we learn to believe he means if we all belive in Jesus then we will go to heaven
This song is incredible cause talks of social problems with a rhythm addictive and the singer sings so passionately that makes sing this song all the day.
I wish that I could see everything like a fly on the wall. I mean, just taking in the whole world, all of it's beauty and the still ocean water. That would be pricless.
For those of you who continue to argue whether they are Christian or not, why don't we hear from Trevor McNevan (Lead Vocals for TFK) about whom he gives glory to during the show... "...McNevan in the middle of their hour-long set Saturday that "all praise belongs to Jesus, and not the band," this concert could have passed for any heavy rock show I've seen in recent years." (Taken from www.leadertelegram.com/blogs/chris_vetter/article_d889b32a-d57c-11df-b41d-001cc4c03286.html) Better yet lets hear his very own voice about what he believes... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LWD6CBFTg8U.html Still aren't convinced? Go to their website... You may or may not be a Christian and that is ok haha. The point is the music...and it rocks
I'm not a Christian, but I love TFK music. It's not bad to see things different even for a short time, but most of their songs aren't about Christian themes and those, which are can be still interpreted differently. Much better than just singing something like "Believe in God or you'll go to hell"
@Sophie Bradshaw Ye you are right, but i dont mean sing about sin,its more about telling God that we are weak and we need Him.SecretEyeCZ said he belive in God but not in God that says"belive in Me or you go to hell"i was reffering to him like this is the truth, accept it sin is death.
I like this video, this song, and the lyrics. As time goes by, it seems like it is getting more difficult to find a lyric video that is fully and grammatically correct like this one.
