I am so thankful for the great variety of arrangements of this song that are available online. There's just such a plethora of approaches to this intricately eclectic masterpiece
Andy Atallah As I just wrote to another person asking the same question (also 3 years ago, haha): I have read that composer Sakamoto is known for supporting oppressed populations. I *think (am not 100% sure) that the flag shows symbols representing several causes /populations. Sakamoto has been very actively anti-nuclear, and certainly there must be something about that in the flag, also. I support my gay brothers and sisters and even have a cool Obama/gay pride flag sticker in my car window (Obama legalized gay marriage in the USA). However, I am a woman, happily married to a man. So...displaying the symbols -- just as I do-- doesn't automatically identify you; it can also mean that you support that cause /population. Cheers!
For one, they're not gay. It says peace on the flag. Hippies used rainbows too, but they weren't all gay. And number two: is there something wrong being gay?
