Seth…everything you said is absolutely true. I ordered two pair (one Elite, and one Omniflex)….I had them in four days! The only thing I would state as a negative (and I’m probably alone here) I would have preferred belt loops. Depending on what someone EDCs (everyday carries), these shorts may present a challenge. I usually carry a small knife, wallet, cell phone, keys…..and occasionally, depending on the situation, a small firearm (legally, I might add, I’m retired law enforcement). Obviously, I won’t “carry” with these shorts. But with the other items I typically carry, and even tightening the drawstrings, I find myself constantly readjusting the shorts. I just want potential buyers to be aware of that. Now that said, when not carrying EDC items, hiking, kayaking, around the house….these shorts are ultimately comfortable, and I can’t believe how good they look right out of the wash and throughout the day. Thank you so much! I’m prior LEO as well. I actually carry with the stomach band when wearing these shorts just to mitigate the issue of no belt loops. But you’re absolutely spot on!
@@steverocksyo Steve, I prefer the Elite (only one back pocket). My reasons are unique…the Elite are lighter (I backpack, and count the ounces!!). I also prefer their less baggy look. I’m not sure if it is true through all sizes, (I wear a Medium of each, but also own a Large of each) and I found that the Omniflex in both sizes seem more loose - which probably translates to “more casual”. Also, obviously I’m unsure of your size, but be advised that if you carry various items in pockets, the elastic waste does “sag” over time, requiring re-adjustment. That said, these have become my favorite summer shorts. Running my dog, hiking, yard work, washing the car, standing at the barbecue grill, they are very comfortable! They dry fast, travel well….always look good. I’m sure I did not make this easier on you--so to make this short story a long one (thanks to a sip or two of Jack Daniels), the Omniflex are more casual in my estimation…the Elite just a bit more “put together”.
