Pakistan lobbies really hard. In UK and Canada too. Anytime someone says anything against them they’re taken to court and silenced. Balochistan is a difficult issue, as regional power don't want it to succeed and use it as a proxy war. On one end Shia Iran wants to use it as a buffer between Sunni Pakistani which can tomorrow become close to Arabs and encircle Iran from the east. So, they have this strategic depth in Balochistan with militants, which keeps the regions in a mess. Saudis also supported groups who are Anti-Iran in nature. Similarly you have Afghanistan, irrespective of any government, they lay claim on balochistan as it gives them access to sea port and help them against being landlocked. Now, in all of this the local suffered alot. It is difficult for Pakistan to do much. if government sends any educated Pakistanis there for development like Doctors/scholars/teachers/labor/engineer/businessmen, they all get killed and targeted. Its like a plan to keep the baloch youth uneducated and jobless, so more and more recruit towards militancy. Don't forget Middle-east countries like UAE also don't want it to succeed as it provides better alternatives as a port than Dubai. To much proxy war.

I visited Balochistan a couple of months ago, and the locals really were in the state of fear. They didn't have a voice, and they couldn't even go to their own local parks and stadiums (except on holidays). There were lots of army officers there keeping these people in check. It was kinda sad how underdeveloped the place was, keeping in mind how much natural beauty it has. I hope things change for them.

@@AnonymousReader-er4eg I know that the blasphemy laws aren't specific to Balochistan & that they aren't part of the Baloch conflict, but Balochistan must have the same issue regarding blasphemy, because all of Pakistan has the death penalty for blasphemy. I know that those mentioned in the video aren't blasphemy suspects, but it's a major issue for Pakistan, where about 100 people have been lynched after being accused of blasphemy, one of them last month. This video ignores the fact that Baloch separatist insurgents have killed thousands of people. I don't know what the PTI is, although from context I guess it's a political party. I'm a Westerner with no Asian connections.
@@andrewjones575 , Balochistan's enforced disappearances having nothing to do with blasphemy was the point I was trying to get across, however I agree, blasphemy laws are a problem all over Pakistan, especially when these laws are enforced by vigilantes and with unfair trials. However the Balochi people being arrested, kidnapped and tortured are often peaceful activists, supporters of organizations like the one in the video, and critics of the government who have never picked up a gun in their life, yet they are accused of being terrorist separatists because they spoke up against the security forces. Pakistan is the only country in the world where the military is institutionally separate from the government, thus the government exerts no influence on the military, only vice versa occurs. They've been given too much power and that has corrupted them. The military only supply the needs of middle and upper class families and the political elite, meanwhile the poor and underprivileged wither. They control large water storage facilities and own many steel mills and entire towns, meanwhile Pakistan's private sector continues to falter and the country experiences premature deindustrialization. They fund Islamist entities for geopolitical gain, and pretend to be compliant with Sharia values, but history and the current military councils have shown they are nothing but autocratic secular hypocrites who use Islam as a populist tool. They build nuclear weapons, meanwhile in some villages experiencing drought, Pakistanis eat grass to avoid starvation, etc. you get my point (not to mention, the genocide in Bangladesh)

Missing person cases isn't limited to any specific province or state of Pakistan. This problem is a plague in Pakistan , widespreading in all Pakistan . This is due to major failure of Justice and Law enforcement forces to function and help civilians . An absolute Administration failure . Civilians are REPORTED/FIR by govt institutions BUT they never act or do something about it . Only a strong Government can minimize this issue , but government is absolute corrupt with all regards

As a Kashmiri who looks up to Pakistan this is absolutely heartbreaking. Pakistan loses any moral authority to speak about oppression in my Kashmir when it commits the same horrors in its own backyard. Please my Pakistani brothers, set your house in order. One way to solve this issue would be to give as much autonomy to provinces as you can. Infact creating more provinces out of the existing ones is another good option. It's also happening in Iran, but unfortunately, you cannot only look at it from the west's point of view. I'm Iranian and acknowledge Baloch people's desire and right to equality. but the nature here is very different from the West - where I currently live. Main problem is that Dialogue is not considered a viable means to come to any sort of agreements. Our governments, officials, oppositions, ethnic groups are not educated to sit down and solve issues. Not saying the west is fully civilized either, I'm getting to that at the end. But for every point a government or people in power are responsible for their minority ethnic/religious groups harsh inequality, there's an argument that justifies their behavior. Baloch people (like any minority ethnic group anywhere in third world countries or even developing countries) are willing to fight back, and ARE fighting back. there are many innocent people killed by Baloch (and others) insurgents... this enables their respective governments to crack down on them with justifications. more education, more time, more alternatives are needed to resolve these issues. Now looking at the way GW Bush waged war in 2 countries. If it was ANY other country doing that, he and his staff would be considered War Criminals. maybe a bit off point you might think, but that's a HUGE point why different people, cultures, nationalities cannot understand each other even in the age of the internet.

The title of this video is a lil unfair, these disappearances aren’t “ Mysterious”, everybody knows who’s kidnapping Baloch people, everybody knows that Pakistani army and establishment has been committing baloch genocide, it’s not an issue of hundred people but it’s a nuclear country committing genocide of a whole nation( Balochs).
