It sounded like something was going to go wrong from the start! Having only just come back into service following a fault earlier in the day, 36501 was not sounding very good at all. As you can hear the engine is groaning, and with the driver running late it was being pushed hard. The engine starts to groan a bit louder towards the end of the video and then the gearbox gives up at 9:15, refusing to get out of first gear. at the end of the video the driver got out to phone the depot for a mechanic and passengers were transferred onto the next bus.
