Great video Peter. And a busman’s holiday for Tas! I’d love another go in 394. Thanks for posting.

Brings back so many Memories. Rode them to school when they were new. Worked on them in their later days

Being a West Midlands boy, especially one from the Washwood Heath area where they were built, I don’t half miss the sight and sounds of these.

When I learnt to drive buses I was on Leyland titans. I understand that the metrobus was supposed to be the easier of the two.
@BristolRE
@BristolRE 7 месяцев назад
I preferred the Metrobus. Titan's had poor road holding in the wet and the steering wheel was too small for my liking.

I think Titans had Semi Automatic transmission whereas Metrobuses had fully automatic transmission.

If there's no rattles or vibration it's atypical of any Metrobus I've ever ridden 😂

Wright bodied Buses are bad for rattling. MMC don’t seem too bad. My only memories of Metrobuses are of the ex London ones that use to go up and down seafront at Scarborough.

I find our Wright bodied DAF's at Enfield don't rattle half as much as the Enviro 400s, and, when we had them, the Enviro 200s were even worse.

Can’t comment much on the DAF Wright bodied Buses. Only experience is of Volvo Wright bodied. Enviro 200s I liked driving them but they do rattle.

No rattles and they could shift, compared to modern buses which are supposed to be lighter but seriously poor build quality. I’m only 36 so was about 7-10 when I was aware of these but they made an impression
