Amazing content as always. I like how you deliver the topics; no nonsense, straight to the point. Your playing is quite great as well and you seem friendly too. Very informative content, please keep 'em coming, it makes all of us better players. :)
You inspired me to pick up an Arrow and I love it. I had a Rhoads V once and I didn't like cause it felt very fragile but I am glad I didn't give up on V's and picked up the Arrow. it's a lot more solid and just a fun guitar to play.
Start slow and examine the motion your using then practice practice and practice again. I try keep the movement as small as I can playing wa song or drums helps as well I started playing Battery at 16 and it’s still a challenging riff if I don’t keep practicing 🤘❤️🤘
I write so many riffs, wish there was more musicians in Australia my age wanted to write original music or younger musicians wanting older players. Appreciate your continued support 🤘🔥🤘
Thanks for checking out the video, probably should’ve included alternate picking . It’s 6 weeks I’ve been making videos for RU-vid so definitely room for improvement 🤘🔥🤘
might do an episode on how to practice palm mute picking (patterens), sweep picking my fingering hand is awesome but for some reason I suck at anything that aint down or triplets lol.
Been thinking of making an alternate picking training video .The best method I've found is practicing to double kicks and trying to lock in perfectly , I start at lower tempos and increase every 5 minutes . Sweep picking is my weakness so I'll think I'll leave that to the awesome teachers already making those vids .
I’m using a tube head in the video that’s boosted with an overdrive. Pedal I’d recommend is a KSR Ceres boosted with a TS9 with a MXR 10 band eq into a power amp then into a 4x12 cab
Another banger of a video. Regarding your newer video about retention. I had an idea. Maybe you could end the video by pointing to the next video and say like "guys, go ahead and click the video that just popped up here *point right or left* for more cool guitar tips" or whatever. Maybe even throw in a cheeky mention about how this is important in terms of helping more guitar players finding this video in their feed. I suppose retention is not only watch time but also Click Through Rate on the videos that you recommend for the audience to watch next. Just an idea that wouldn't necessarily take up much extra time and maybe it would count towards retention metrics for the Google-AI that will one day control the galaxy. Unsolicited brainfart, take it or leave it, fuck knows if it makes a difference
Appreciate the feedback and support 🤘❤️🤘retention or watch time is my only failing metric I have good click through rates and lots of comments and likes. Maybe people would be interested to see the analytics of the channel
@@DUNN.. Ai, then it sounds like they want to reward longer videos and that's sort of that eh? Bollocks. I'll keep liking and commenting anyway, chap. I always make sure to watch all the way through without skipping. Not that there's anything to skip. That's a huge part of why I like your videos, they're to the point. But don't cater to me as a viewer. I'm a renovation project with very few remaining stock parts under the hood if ya know what I mean.
@@DUNN.. I hear ya. I suppose they see more revenue on the mid-video ads compared to the first one that plays when a video starts. I think people are used to skipping the first one out of muscle memory, so there's a higher chance of longer view time on the randomly placed ads. Thereby qualifying for a fraction of the Cost Per Click that Alphabet claims. Not as good as a click, but at least their customer has to pay a small fee every time an ad DOESN'T get skipped. At the cost of you as a content creator, us as an audience, and the advertiser. They sure do have a golden formula.
@@DUNN.. thank you for the encouragement man, I appreciate it, some days it's hard to want to even pick up the guitar or write. By chance do you have any recommendations for good drum tracks? I typically practice to Ramones style ones for my punk stuff since it fits the downstroke style but I haven't found any metal ones I like
@@russiangoose7053 search double kicks drum backing tracks on RU-vid and alternate pick to them or get a drum program like EZ Drummer. I might have to create a picking training program with backing drums
Awesome, I know the savings feeling it’s taken me 2 years to save enough for a guitar before. Our love for the guitar keeps us determined to get the guitar we want 🤘🔥🤘
