I had interceptor for the longest time at 144/145. Working on SEE as 1st GL. Had thrawn R6, gave it a try with MJ, RG, piett, Vader, worked like a charm 1st try, and now have a new shiny tie interceptor 😎

Best news is, when I did this I didn’t have the zeta on my Thrawn lead and I still got 3 stars on the tier!

I did the 3* yesterday with this composition EXCEPT using Vader in place of Mara Jade. It’s really just about spreading dots, controlling TM and removing dots on your own team.

One hour before proving grounds leaves see this video and it works brilliantly. I didn’t even have Mara jade relics and used Darth Vader and it still was easy. Long live the Empire!

missed out on multiple proving grounds cycle trying to beat this and couldn’t with SEE or SLKR so thanks ahnald for the stream yesterday it helped me out astronomicaly

Additionally for anyone zeta strapped you don't need thrawn zeta lead, the lvl 7 is enough

Thanks - just tried this with Darth Vader in for Mara (my Mara is way behind the curve). And as long you don’t us Culling blade (but spam DoT), it works just as well, didn’t need to do anything with mods. Much appreciated.

This is my second proving grounds and I did and SLKR rush. Got a rude awakening when I couldn’t manage Malgus and Tie. Looked at teams to build and now I’ve three starred every PG expect Ben Swolo. Using R3 Traya, R5 Nilus and Sion, R6 Malgus and R7 SLKR. Sith trio with Malgus is insanely strong in PG. They 3 star. Dad bod, Tie intercept and Malgus. All with a bit of RNG. But can be done.

I’m curious to see how Tuskens would work in this PG. They may not be the most durable, but the DoT immunity and constant stuns w/ momentum could get some work done.

Thank god, one less blood vessel burst every month. This also somewhat helps with Boba SOJ tier due to the DOTS.

This is insane, I think this is the only one I need to 3 star now and I just couldn't for the life of me. I can't wait to do this when it comes back around.

I know this probably isnt helpful for anyone since there is 3 minutes left but for people with SEE who want Malgus it is possible with just the sith requirements for his unlock. SEE, Vader, EP, Dooku, and Marauder is what I've used the past two times and Ive beaten it both times. The key is to turn the characters into fake tanks essentially. Load them up with all health sets with health and protection primaries and eventually you will be able to beat it. Make take an hour or 2 but it is possible. Hope this helps anyone in a similar situation next proving grounds.

I was able to do the malgus tier with no ultimate SLKR, Hux, KRU, Malak and Thrawn. Took a bit of RNG to get the death mark to line up, but in the end I had death mark on Thrawn when he fractured Malgus and was just able to keep feeding SLKR turns. Took maybe half an hour, but was great to get the extra shards!

This was absolutely brilliant. Worked like a champ. Took two tries to get going but it absolutely worked. Three starred.

I tried it with a couple of relics fewer than shown here, and without Thrawn lead Zeta. Average mods at best, many of them 5 dot. Got smashed thrice. And then rolled through on the fourth attempt. Didn't 3 star only because I lost track of DOTs on my Palp. Just follow Ahnald's moves at the start and hope for some favourable opening rng. This has got to be the best SWGOH guide vid out here. Thank you Ahnald and Johno. You're content's always good but this is just gold.

Hey ahnald, for Darth malgus proving grounds use SEE lead with kru, traya, nihlus, and like marauder and u should get ur ult off within a 5-10 matches.

Was never able to 3-star it, but I was able to get my 7* yesterday after all those attempts. Glad that this nonsense is over.

How to beat Malgus proving grounds with SLKR. Mods: Starting off with speeds and mods. SLKR and Hux need to be as fast as possible 560+ speed for SLKR and around 295+ speed for Hux. Next, First Order Stormtrooper(FOS) and Kylo Ren(unmasked) need to be as tanky as possible. I preferred having FOS bring the tankiest toon around 180,000 combined health and protection (the more the better) and KRU had about 160,000 up (again the more the better). I had to relic up FOS to relic 6 to help out. For Sith trooper just put health and protection mods on him (he is just there to feed for SLKR’s ult). Beginning: When you load in DR should go first with a death mark then Malgus with the dark decent and finally the rest of the sith team. Your tanks have to be able to survive the initial assault just so Malgus doesn’t get any dark ascension. Then poke Malgus with the stun and pass a turn using hux and poke DR this time. It is an immediate reset if hux gets fear off the start(bastilla’s fear ability). Most likely your team will be feared and SLKR will get the next turn. Use the aoe cleanse on DR and use basics with your team to eventually kill him. Now before I continue the win condition for this event is to get a full ult with SLKR after the second dark decent with around 130 siphon(before the ult doubles it) without Malgus having 3 or more dark ascension. Middle: The most RNG portion of this encounter. I like to reset when someone other than Malgus gets deathmark (necessary for endgame). Your goal for this portion is to get SLKR to full ult. Always AOE with sith trooper, Mass assist with hux, and try always use the poke when given the chance with SLKR. I consider middle to end when the second tank dies (usually due to Malgus’s second dark decent). If you do not have full ult after the second dark decent I usually reset. Endgame: In the Ideal situation, only DR is dead, Malgus has 3 or less dark ascension and just used DD, and SLKR just used his full ult and has 260 siphon. Now just spam AOEs on Malgus and hopefully by the third AOE(if timed right) Malgus should have used his third DD and the rest of the sith should have died. Now continue using AOEs to not let Malgus crit him. Use poke when blinded and use ult to either live or time the ult for the forth DD count down 3 turns (Malgus) from the third DD. Finally just use AOEs until you feel that the damage is enough to kill him then basic and poke(poke when blinded). Disclaimer: This strategy is still really RNG dependent and frustrating. It take me anywhere from 10-30 minutes to beat it. Although the beginning and the end usually follow the guide, the middle is more of a feel section. Just put on some music and start grinding this event. Good luck. Sorry for any grammar errors.

Lol. I wish I had waited to do it. I use the GAS lead with JMK and WAT. I’m now less than 10 shards from getting the Tie to 7 star. I’ll give this a try next month.

I also recommend you to beat Fenix Squad with 3 stars with the bad batch + Shak Ti instead of Omega. It´s important that you keep always the provoke on Wrecker, or else the others will insta die, then spam the stuns and Echo´s buff inmunity (And focus Sabine and Zeb) It will take a few tries to beat it with everyone alive

Was able to 3 star Malgus with JMK and CAT, just had to try a couple times to beat the death mark rng but it was pretty smooth. Got 2 stars on tie interceptor with GAS/wat/jmk strat

I did a Traya Lead, Nihlus, SEE, Wat, and Malak. It was sloppy but always get the job done. If Nihlus dies off first, then you gotta reset the battle

Malgus is possible with SEE. I do it with Malak, Wat, KRU and Royal guard. I read it could be done with Vader instead of Wat. The strategy is to link malgus and bsf and then kill Darth revan first. The rng is brutal though as you have to get deathmark in the right order. It took me about two hours yesterday. I'm sure you could do it with a combo of sith and tanks alongside SEE.

I got a 2* with a different thrawn lead. Going to try this next time. Got 3*s on all except tie, Malgus & Ben.

Now I have a team to work with for this one 😅 I just got 3 Stars on the Ben solo one with a standard JML TEAM , GK , JKL Hoda and jedi revan.

This actually worked for me. Took me like 7 tries but I got it done. It's long and tedious though. I almost got 3 stars but I forgot about the damage over time and my Royal Guard died.

for CAT shards i recommend Traya LEAD with nest easy 2 character relic 3

I don't get to mention it on stream, but recently i changed guild. It went from 1 AAT/no TW a month to twice weekly Krayt and regularly winning. This is really nice and really helpful as with that shift I'm nearing 4M

I used SEE, traya, malak, wat, and DN , I just needed the 40 shards to take it too 7*, but it worked pretty easily.

Did it yesterday with CLS R8, Han R7, 3PO R5, 3bacca R6 and CSolo R5. An hour of pain, but got 3 stars.

I know this is old but for darth malgus, slkr-kru-first order stormtrooper-malak-scion was the team I used, just make sure when you kill someone that malgus isn’t taking the next turn so he doesn’t get the death mark and hope malgus doesn’t get more than 2 kills because it’s impossible after that

For do Malgus i use SEE, Bossk, Mando (Beskar), Malak and Sith Empire Trooper all R5. Just need Link Malgus and Talon and have a nice RNG.

Ahnald! You can do the magus tier with slkr lead, FO stormtrooper, KRU, Malak, and Thrawn. You gotta keep trying til you can fracture malgus. Its worked every month for me after lots of tries

For malgus, i just see, b1, DV, malak and revan/palp. Also dit one star it with kylo as tank. Basicly b1 is just there to take some extra hits. And he semingly cannot be oneshot by malgus. Get one or two out en get to ult your good.

I already 3 stared malgus, but I can't remember how but it was either with LV or JMK because those are my 2 GLS

FYI this is do-able without Royal Guard. I had Vader instead and was able to 3*, but it was slightly RNG dependent for the opening play.

I'm glad I obtained my malgus through the conquest shop because... I would not have the stuff needed at 2m gp And f2p

This was my first proving grounds and I only got Maul, CAT, and Ben Solo. RIP Malgus shards
