Liz, unless I missed it,you talked about 50 weight cotton with regards to (machine)quilting only.What about piecing ? Everyone raves about Aurifil 50 wt cotton for piecing. Personally I find it quite weak (It snaps easily similar to old thread). Any thoughts ?
Hi Julie! I agree that 50wt or finer cotton thread it not strong enough for piecing a quilt that will be used as a quilt. If it is a wall hanging it would be fine.
