Very nice. You might want to look at "Thread cutting oil." But for soft metal, I'm sure old 3 in 1 oil will work just fine...

Bronze machines very well without lubricant even though silicon bronze is classed as a low lead alloy. It would not occur to me to reach for cutting oil for bronze.

​@@petefletcher Yes indeed, bronze is very soft, it's a pleasure to work with, easy to cut the threads.

The dies usually have a lead in side which makes it easier to start. Someone needs to tighten their halyard inthe boat park too i think!😊

You are correct, it seems he had the die upside down. You can see the taper of the die on the top currently where it should have been on the bottom. Not a major issue on brass, on steel it could break your die. Additionally some oil also make the process a little easier. Great job otherwise.
